| 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe non numbers matching. I purchased this corvette about six months ago from a local guy that had started doing some restoration on it. He had completed the exterior components, paint, chrome, lights, weather stripping, wheels, tires, disc brakes etc. The car was running when I purchased it, but seemed to have some issues with the motor. Once I got it to my shop and started looking at the motor I soon realized that the motor was tired. So we put a rebuilt 350 in it with new Edelbrock 650 Carb, Edelbrock intake manifold, valve covers etc. Then we saw that the radiator needed to be replaced along with all hoses. We also replaced the distributor, spark plugs and all wires. The vacuum system has been completely redone as well. All vacuum system accessories work properly, headlights and windshield wiper cowl. When I bought the car it had the original(or copy of) window sticker and it said that the car carne with side exhaust so we added headers and side pipes back onto the car. The interior was completely gutted and we saved what we could and replaced what we couldn't. Things we replaced were brake cover, center console bezel, rear pillar trim pieces, all center pieces except vent levers, speedo, the original ones needle was broken and we could not fix it. we tried but could not get it fixed. We have the original one with the original miles that will go with the car), dynamat throughout the car, new carpet throughout, new stereo from classic stereos that has MP3/ipod jack, two ten inch kenwood speakers with box, two 4X6 inch front speakers and amp. We were able to save the dash pad. It does have a small cut in it, but we decided that it wasn't worth replacing the whole thing. We replaced the throw out bearing on the clutch and we also installed a smoother clutch, the one that was in it was good just a little bit rough when shifting. It had a ceramic racing clutch in it. There is not even 1 mile on the new rebuilt motor. We did break in the new cam and it is running good. We will be putting a little bit of miles on it over the next week or so just to make sure everything is good. This is not a numbers matching pristine show car but it sure is gorgeous. Now that we have done everything to make it run good, it is a reliable daily driver or just a car to cruise on the weekends to your local car show. This car does not have power steering or A/C. These are simple adds if you wanted to add them. Take a look at the pictures and feel free to ask any questions. I have all he paperwork and receipts for all the work that has been done to this car. Last bid at $18,600 (RnM). January 19, 2015. |
