1980 Corvette. Restored Beauty. New Paint, Motor, Interior. Approx. $20,000 invested. Alright, you want a screamin' deal? This is an unbelievable car for the money. Super clean. Absolutely stunning. This is a drastically reduced price. [I am also looking for a C5 and will consider all trades] Motor: This is a 350 bored .030 over making it 355ci. (not original motor) Producing approx. 330-350 hp. The original hp for this car was 180-230. This motor has a high performance cam, high rise intake, original exhaust manifolds and new exhaust system. The exhaust sounds awesome, (low growl)! . Newly rebuilt. All components surrounding the motor are new such as: Edlebrock intake & Carb, alternator, water pump, starter, steering pump, high pressure oil pump, distributor, belts, hoses, etc. Runs like a monster. Very fast, very strong. Approx 1650 mi. since rebuild. I am completely satisfied with the performance of this car and I have owned many of them. You will love pushing the pedal down on this car. Body: The custom paint job is bright red with a black stripe down the hood. Super glossy. Very nice and tastefully done paint job. The joint where the nose meets the body has chipped a little (see photo). A couple of stone chips have occurred on right front fender flare (see photo), but nothing out of the ordinary and hardly noticeable. Beautiful looking paint job. Mirrored T-tops. Hopefully you can tell by the photos, this car looks incredible. I have taken it to a few shows and I am shocked by how much attention it gets. Interior: The interior is all new. New carpet, seats (leather and foam), and door panels. The color is: “Dark Claret” which is like Burgandy. This car is one of the rare 80 Corvettes with a 165 mph speedometer. A new Kenwood cd player and speakers have been installed. Sounds great and very loud. Black rubber diamond plate floor mats. Structure: The frame is very strong. New floor pans. Brakes are good with new hoses. U-Joints are good, many are new. Special Edition Nascar yellow letter tires, (2 are showing wear). Things that have not been done yet: Headlight vacuum is lazy, possible seal replacement needed. Lower door weather stripping has not yet been installed since new paint job. Temp and tach gauges are not working. High beam switch linkage is broken. The car is in my garage, maticulously cared for and I own it with a clear title. It will be a clean quick transaction as soon as funds clear.
