| Car history: |
| 1969 customized Corvette Stingray coupe with removable t-tops. Currrently has a 468 cubic inch 4 bolt main big block motor with forged GM steel crankshaft and forged aluminum pistons on GM forged 7/16" rod bolt connecting rods. GM rectangle port hi-perf open chamber cylinder heads. Weiand aluminum hi-rise intake with Holley 750 vac. secondary 4 bbl carb. Holley mech fuel pump. Hydraulic lifter cam with Compcams HD pushrods, Crane aluminum roller rockers. After market hi-perf. HEI ignition/ with tach drive. Taylor 10.2 mm wires. Milodon 8 qt. deep sump oil pan with a Melling hi-volume oil pump. Flowcooler water pump with aluminum pulleys. Polished aluminum alternator with custom alu. pulley. Alumin. flex fan. Hooker chrome sidepipe headers. Lakewood scattershied with block plate, Centerforce dual friction clutch, McLeod 40 lb. steel flywheel. Borg-Warner super T-10 4 speed trans. with Hurst comp/plus shifter. Front suspension has been updated to the new transverse leaf spring with new light weight upper and lower a-arms. New shocks, new Moog ball joints, new idler arm, and Urethene bushings. Original power steering, very quick. Rear suspension is basicly stock with the exception of a new HD leaf spring, new shocks, urethene bushings and a traction bar. 4.10 rear ratio. Ecklers stainless steel disc brake calipers. Body has been customized with Ecklers ZL-1 fender flares, rear deck spoiler, and clamdigger. Also has rear window louvers with hinge for access to rear window. Chrome rear deck vents and polished aluminum pop-up gas cap. Rear bumpers have been removed and body shaped and contoured for a great custom look. Rear bubble tail light lenses and rectangle quad headlight assembly. American Alloy wheels. Like new Formula 1 G-50 frt. tires and N-50 rear tires. Has original am/fm radio,(was not working last time I tried it, could be a fuse). New carpet and console cushion. New windshield. Vacuum operated headlight and wiper system does work, however the wiper door has some issues, had the lines re-attached incorrectly. Have new schematic and line kit to correct. Vehicle was purchased by our brother in December 1969 with very few miles on car. Was originally a 427 2 bolt main tri-power car with Muncie 4 spd and side exhaust. Was painted Riverside gold with black accents (rear of car and hood scoop). The miles are accurate for the chassis. Motor is not original. Last paint was applied in 1994. Has always been stored indoors since last painted. Still have some of the original parts ( frt. suspension, 4 spd shifter, etc.) that will go with the car. Car is in exceptional shape. Original motor dropped a valve in #2 cylinder, made a huge gouge in it. The block was sitting in a so called friends garage and mysteriously disappeared. Colors from the owner. 27,778 miles. January 3, 2009. |
