| This 1969 Corvette Convertible with a 427 engine and a 4-speed transmission is a great looking, and great driving car. However, it has not undergone a restoration to “concourse quality” standards, and it is priced accordingly. It is an original Monza Red car. The sale of the car includes the original vinyl covered hardtop. The paint looks great from five feet away, but if you look very closely you can see some minor imperfections such as minor cracking and minor chips (too minor to show up in pictures). The chrome is in great shape as is the trim. The seats, door panels, and carpet are in great shape with no scuffs, cracks, or tears. In 2003 the car underwent over $15,000.00 of maintenance work at Corvette Repair Inc. in New York. Anything that needed to be replaced was replaced. Receipts for this work are available. Since then the car has been driven and enjoyed. The car does not have the original engine, but the engine that is in it is a 1969 427 engine. As mentioned, the car looks great and drives great but it does have some minor needs should the new owner choose to address these issues. The issues are as follows: The rear window in the convertible top is separating from the top (the convertible top still functions and is usable as is). The following items do not work: clock, odometer, some of the fiber optics, and windshield washer door (does not retract). $28,000. May 29, 2011. |
