| 1) Here we have a beautiful 1968 C3 Corvette finished in Safari Yellow paint. 1968 was the first year for the C3 body and had a fresh interior and exterior redesign. It introduced a new system for opening and closing the headlights; using a vacuum system instead of an electronic system. This was also the first year of the hideaway wipers. It has independent suspension and disk brakes as well as a 3-speed turbo hydromatic transmission. The 3-speed was an improvement over the previous 2-speed transmissions in the earlier years.
