| 1) Barn find .... in my Barn. Not really in a barn I purchased this cream puff Some 20 plus years ago with 43k miles. I drove it a few times and stuffed It in my environmentally controlled building. Since I had several other vettes. I never really drove it and kept it for the historical significance. The last time It was licensed was 1996. The frame is beautiful as it has been kept inside. 44,796 original miles I removed storage and did the following all within last 90 days. The engine was removed and professionally rebuilt by a local machine shop nom it has a upgraded cam shaft that gives it smooth but Lopey idle. See attached receipt. It has about 10-15 miles on it with a 1 year warranty The clutch disc, pressure plate and throughout bearing was replaced at that time. The exhaust was totally replaced with alluminized pipes with new exhaust Manifolds. Gas tank was removed and all the fuel lines were cleaned out a new fuel gauge and sender was installed along with a new fuel pump. A new battery was installed. A new starter was installed. All front end parts(tie rods and ends ball joints were all Good) were replaced along with lines and power steering control valve. A front end alignment was also done. The stainless steel brake calipers were rebuilt the lines were flushed and a new Master cylnder was installed. New interior carpet was replaced. From previous 2nd owner It was a original 427 390hp 4 speed, Tilt telliscopic steering wheel. Power windows (work great), 355 gears. Factory A/C non working (I have new lines pump, bracket you need condenser to complete), Chrome shark teeth, Speed warning. The car starts easy, runs strong, idles smooth. The top is almost perfect installed after I purchased it and is 9.9 out of 10. The paint is almost perfect about a 9 out of 10. The interior is about a 9 out of 10. What's it need ? A/C needs to be hooked up, I only drove it with top down A few times so I never really concerned my self with it. The windshield wipers worked intermittently probably needs a wiper motor. Some tricky tac stuff like the clock is not working, turn signal bulb/flasher. The car has 1982 collecter edition wheels on it now I have the original rally Wheels if you would like them instead. Sold for $27,200 on May 1, 2017. |
