Car history:
2) After 4 years, my longest relationship is coming to an end. It's a bittersweet moment but it is time for me to move on and someone else to enjoy her.
Her name is Monaco, she's a beautiful 1969 Chevrolet Corvette with t-tops. Under the hood is the original, numbers matching small block 350/300 that was claimed to have been rebuilt about 8-10 years ago. I have no documentation of that but she runs great. Mated to that is the original, numbers matching 4 speed muncie transmission. I have not researched the rear end. The carburetor is not original, it is a 1972 off a 350/350. Non original paint but, original color, Monaco orange. Correct interior. New tires, suspension, multiple items rechromed, undercoated, various vac lines replace and other misc maintenance. Head lights, tail lights, turn signal and back up lights work as they should. She isn't perfect, she's about a 6 footer (looks perfect from 6 foot away) Up close and you'll notice some rock ships, a small penny sized imperfection in the hood; she's a good driver. Some non original parts, the heat doesn't seam to work, the wipers need vac lines ran, there seems to be a bushing or a joint noise coming from the rear end. The t-tops leak but we just don't take her out in the rain. She could use some tlc or you could love her and drive her with her quirks. The speedometer needle is broke and does not read correct. The odometer is not turning so the mileage is unknown. I have only put approx 3000 miles on her since purchased. I do have a box of spare parts, the original shifter, an extra carburetor, what I was told is the original radio and some misc.
It was love at first site but, our love has faded over the years and I am now more interested in other things. I hate to see her go but, I don't give her the attention she deserves, no matter how much I want to. Sold for $17,000 on August 29, 2017. Sold for $16,800 on September 3, 2017.
1) The car is in great shape for being 44 years old. A litte about the car-1969 corvette stingray the original shark -350 engine shows around 92000 miles but speedo hops, i was told that engine was rebuilt around ten thousand miles ago along w/ trans anyway drive train runs GREAT. it has the original paint color monaco orange-hugger orange rare color on vettes, it is the original no hit body, all bonding strips present. under side is in good shape w/ no frame rot and bird cage good-no rust. paint i would call a 5 footer, great driver for now but could use a paint job in future. all chrome and eblems new. here is a list of some things that ive done over the winter-new tires-all new vacuum lines-new holly 650 carb original rochester goes w/ car -change to hurst shifter original goes w/ car -new tires firestone daytonas-new radio and speakers original goes w/ car. the head lites open and close and work fine-the wipers open and close work great but no fluid tank. new weather striping-heater, blower works fine. all gauges work except clock speedo jumps may need cable soon brakes are newer and work great all 4 disc the interior is also in good shape see photos. all and all ive put around $ 6000.00 in the car over the winter so heres your chance to own a great car at a fair price.
here are a few items i forgot to list-DOES HAVE NEW SHOCKS ALL THE WAY AROUND--had the underside coated last year and i also included some pics of underside sorry about the pics, best i could get in the garage- Asked price is $17,500. April 30, 2013.
