| 1969 Chevrolet Corvette rare L-89 427/435 HP engine option for sale. Monza red with black interior. 4-Speed transmission. One of only 390 produced in 1969 with L-89 aluminum heads. Bloomington Gold Certified. Believed to be 25,000 original miles, but Florida title states mileage: exempt. Older frame off restoration which has stood the test of time. Some items have been refreshed to make the car look like the restoration was done recently. All numbers match. Car comes with complete documentation which includes the original window sticker and order sheet (fuel tank sticker). Also have the Bloomington Gold Certificate as well as the judging sheets which indicate the car scored 99 back in 1989. Engine runs and idles smooth and transmission shifts nicely. Factory side pipes were an added option. This car sounds really nice going through the gears! Lacquer paint is in excellent condition with no cracks or rock chips. Frame and engine compartment is in show condition. New correct and date stamped R79S Delco reproduction battery. Just installed new carpet, new seat foam, and new seat covers. Also installed new Holley carburetors with correct numbers and date stamp. New steel fuel lines and correct fuel pump installed. Note the photo of the engine shows red paint overspray on the aluminum head near the exhaust manifold. The front and rear of the heads have no overspray and show bare aluminum. The L-89 aluminum head option makes this car a solid investment. BiN $111,500. June 29, 2015. |
