| Car history: |
| 1) The story on this gorgeous '69 Corvette Stingray convertible is just one of a clean honest car that doesn't hide anything. Still covered in what is believed to be the original paint this is a 80k actual mileage survivor! Powered by the numbers matching 350 V8 and the original 4-speed manual this Corvette is ready to take home survivor awards at your local car show. Believed to be a 3-owner this Corvette spent the last 30 years in the care of its current owner. There's no denying the paint is original you will see the famous spider cracking and typical wear and tear that comes with a nearly 50-year old paint. However given its age and mileage its in great shape! And one that can be driven anywhere without worry of it being too nice. Plus keep in mind it's only original once! The convertible top is in good condition but does appear to be original as well. The engine bay is 100 per cent original besides a few minor upgrades like the new alternator and upper radiator hose. According to the owner the engine has never been out of the car. The engine fires up very easily and runs very well. The transmission shifts very smooth and the tires appear to be relatively new with a lot of tread still on them. The interior is in amazing shape considering it's nearly 50 years old. There are no tears or rips in the seats carpet or door panels. The dash is original and shows no cracks or warping which again points to it being in a heated and cooled garage for the majority of its life. The car left the factory as a base model so you won't find any air-conditioning tilt power steering or power brakes here. But that's what we like about this car! There's nothing for it to hide behind this Corvette rides amazing and with the top down and the sound of the side pipes in your ear you won't even notice that you are missing those features. Careful care was just taken to ensure that the headlights and wipers work as they should off the vacuum lines and the original AM/FM radio still can be tuned to your favorite station. Don't miss out on the chance to own this collectible. It doesn't get much better than a '69 Corvette drop top in the spring! |
