Car history:
For sale: 1971 Chevrolet Corvette as described below. The car is located in RI
and can be seen by appointment. As with most antique autos, this car is being
sold AS IS WHERE IS with no warranties or guarantees expressed or implied.
Shipping of the car is the responsibility of the buyer. The car needs to be picked
up within 30 days.

I am the third owner; Numbers matching. I located this car from a friend in
Connecticut where it was stored in a garage for the last twenty years or as I was
told. The only reason I believe this story is he did not supply me with a key, and
was told it ran fine before he lost the key, the car looked straight. Before the car
was fired-up while replacing the brake lines which were shot we found a key
hidden in the radiator from the original owner. Nice it was a good start 62,000
original miles. The car has its original paint that is crazy cracked but the shape &
all edges are sharp and untouched I believe its original paint. All controls in good
shape except the clock and factory radio. All rubber seals are dried and cracked.
Has a vacuum leak. Engine runs rough until you plug the vacuum main off engine,
head lights and windshield wiper compartment work, but slow. The vinyl interior is
in good shape as well, little cracking; rip in drivers side seat. I have the original
leather bags for the T tops.

I have completed a minor re-build to the car which included a new timing chain,
replaced the nylon gear, proform Chevrolets timing chain cover, air cleaner/filter,
valve covers, new Alum. hi-volume water pump, new original plugs A/C Delco
found with the car, new ignition wires, all new vacuum hoses, all new radiator
hoses, new shocks all around, new chrome high output alternator, new battery, 30
year old poly tires brand new in a warehouse in the North East, new brake lines. I
have done a lot more work than listed (have all the slips original CT title). The car
appears to be mechanically sound. The shifter is stiff until the car warms up and
then works great. I have not changed out the gear oil in the trans or rear. I have
tried to describe this car the best that I can as truthful as I can. This is truly a fine
example of an original untouched, unmolested vintage Vette. I have owned the
car since May of 2006 and am selling, with regrets, due to the recent purchase of
a Big Block Vette. Price: US $14,000.00
