| Car history: |
| It was born white with red interior and a 350 automatic. It still is a complete numbers matching car. The car has been in our family for over 20 years. My cousin owned it up until 3 years ago. During that time it was only driven a total of one thousand miles. Since i purchased it i have began a frame on restoration. The car was already in good condition. The interior has all new leather seat covers, new red cut pile carpeting, new door panels, new door handle hardware, and a custom tiger maple console cover. The dash is perfect. It has the original Corvette dash pad. Let's discuss the engine. It is the orginal numbers matching block but it has been modified to be better than a daily driver. The engine has patriot aluminum heads, crane cam with a mild lope. It has hooker headers, edelbrock performer EPS Intake, Holley endurashine 750 double pumper carb, aluminum water pump, rollar rocker arms, molly chrome push rods. The motor has been changed over from a distributor to EHI. The motor should be producing around 360 horse power. Car has super flowmaster 90 series mufflers. They have been integrated to fit perfectly the way the orginal exhaust fit. The car is beautiful and is definetly a head turner. The paint is a 20 year old paint job. It is still very glossy and is a 10 footer, but observed closely, there are 3 or 4 places where there is some spider webbing. Most of the spider webbing is in the medal, like the head light covers and the windshield wiper door. There is some small chips here and there. The front tires are almost new tread but they are 20 years old. The rear tires are worn and are the same age. All of the vacuum system works perfectly. Head light doors open as they should. Windshield wiper doors open as they should. The windshield wipers are not installed. I have not gotten to that but they are there. Sometime during the motor rebuild, when we re-installed the motor, we got a wire off that causes the park lights to come on when you apply the brakes. The seals on the T-tops need to be replaced. They seal off well for air but will leak if left in the rain. I never drove it in the rain or left it in the rain so it would have been one of the last things i replaced. The car is missing the right front park light lens. It is also missing a small piece of chrome on the left top fender beside the windshield wiper door. The car is a perfect driver. It is definelty a head turner. It runs and drives as it should. It shifts like it should. 126,000 miles. November 23, 2009. |
