Car history:
2) A 1968 C3 Corvette street rod 327/350 with attitude. As you probably know, 1968 was the first year for the C3 body style - and this was the 155th C3 ever built. This car is not the Corvette you're father had, or one of the dozens you see here selling for 50K. No, this is the one in the poster we all had on our bedroom wall growing up, and the one all your friends will talk about. With deep dish rims, flared fenders, shaved (no emblems, mirrors, or gills), and a deep throaty sound, this car turns heads. I found the car in a barn in Wisconsin about two years ago. No one had done anything to her since the 70's - I know that because it came with an olive green fridge, a disco ball, and it needed a lot of love.
Since bringing her down south we've done a ton of work to her, including everything on this list:
New Rear Shocks, New Fuel Tank, New Fuel sending Unit, Turned Rotors x4, New brake Pads x4, New Stainless Steel brake calipers x4, New American Racing Outlaw 1 Rims 10 rear, 8 front, New tires 60's back, 70's front, New Power steering pump, New Power steering valve, New High performance starter, New Rear-end fluid, New Radiator fan, New Intake manifold, New Valve covers, New Air cleaner, New Distributor, New High performance plugs/wires, New Belts/Hoses, New Thermostat & Housing, New Holly 670 cfm Street Avenger 4 brl Carb (less than 100 miles on it), New Racing seats with 4 point race harnesses, New Steering wheel, New Heater/Vent control, New Lower console dash parts, New Lower console, New Windshield, New Windshield pillar trim, New Rear view mirror, New Front suspension parts, New Windshield pillar seals, New Canvas convertible top, New Storage compartment tray covers, New Headlight vacuum actuators/controllers/line, New Headlights/turn signals/marker lights, New Tail light covers, New Fuel pressure regulator, 38. New Fuel pump, New Battery, 39. New all weather cover. BiN $29,995 (Ended) on August 7, 2017. Sold for $15,995 on November 13, 2017.
1) This is an early production 1968 corvette convertible. The trim code plate is bo5, Which means September 1967. The 5th day of the month. Paint code is 992 corvette bronze, trim is std which is black. The vin number is 194678s400155 which means it was the 155th one made. The car needs a full restoration. It does run and drive. The motor is not original the number on the block is vo316tdj I think this is a 1972 350 motor. I was told when I bought it the motor was rebuilt It does run well. It has a new gas tank in it. The brakes were redone and work well. It has power steering, it does leak I think from the cylinder it will need to be replaced. It has power brakes, and the rare telescopic steering. It is a 4 speed. The frame is rust free and solid. The windsheild frame is solid. It has flares on the fenders. It has a newer hood on it is missing the wiper door and vent. The lower front valance is broke it has a new gm one that goes with the car along with the front spoiler. The exhaust is in good condition. The original radio works. You could do a little work to it and have a dependable driving car with a rough body and interior or do a full restoration and have a nice old corvette. It needs a new top but the frame for top is in good condition. The headlights do not go up by themselve. But go down on their own. Color codes from the trim plate. Assembly date is B05. BIN $9.200. December 29, 2014.
