| July 4, 2026: The car was purchased at Jack O'Keeffe Chevrolet in Hartford, CT on May 1, 1974 by Dr. Ronald Tishler who passed in 2017. Dr. Tishler was an optometrist. His wife sold the car in 2023 to Jason Scorsone, former co-owner of Unique Corvettes in NY and FL. I am the 3rd owner. The car is supposedly documented to have less than 36,000 miles. The body and point look to be original with a shine to the aging paint, and visible bonding strips that boast a ho hit body. The rear split bumper is an Eckler's fiberglass replacement. Mr. Scorsone indicated he replaced the seats and carpet with Al Knoch interior. The convertible top is date to 1992, which is exactly what the Goodyear Eagle GT+4 tires are dated to. They are impeccable and show new, but they are over 30 years old, the wrong size, and will be replaced. The suspension looks as if it has been gone through. I bought it and took it home. Mr. Scorsone is to get me the hard top and paperwork. I am excited to get all of that. Everything seems to work with the exception of the seat belt light. No leaks that have shown in the garage, and a joy to drive. I am currently going through everything now to determine what is there and what isn't. So far it looks like a survivor where the original owner got it sorted out in the early 90's and appears to have driven it sparingly and took great care of it. |
