| The car you are viewing is a nice 1972 Corvette Coupe, with a numbers matching 350/200hp motor, and 4 speed Muncie transmission. The casting number on the motor is 3970010, the date is J-8-1, and the pad is stamped 12S506204 V1013CDH which is the correct 200hp motor for the car. It is red with a tan interior and leather seats. Overall it is a pretty basic car...manual windows, no air, but it does have power steering and power brakes. The motor runs well...it appears to have been rebuilt at some point, but I do not have any history as to when or where. It starts right up, no major leaks, and overall just runs very well. The trans shifts smoothly, and the clutch is strong. The frame is super clean all around. There is absolutely no rust deterioration from winters or salt. As long as the car has been in Wisconsin it has never been driven in bad weather, as well as being stored in a climate controlled garage. Most of the suspension appears to be original, but in good condition. Brakes have been changed at some point, as well as the master cylinder. The interior has mostly new components...new leather seats, new door panels, new dash pads, new carpet, console, etc...everything inside the car looks clean and fresh. The paint looks very good...it's not perfect, but definitely better than driver condition. All the chrome and the moldings on the car are very nice all the way around. The car has good tire tread left, and the wheels are in very good condition. The windshield frame is solid, and all the lighting, headlight doors, and wiper door are in working condition. Overall this is a great solid, unmolested, numbers matching southern car...good for a nice driver, or has potential for more. |
