| GREAT LOOKING FACTORY RALLY RED 1968 CHEVY CORVETTE CONVERTIBLE WITH BOTH TOPS SHOWING 79K MILES ON THE ODOMETER THAT RUNS/DRIVES VERY STRONG. LOTS OF RECENT WORK DONE TO THIS CAR. VERY SHARP ORIGINAL. FACTORY OPTIONS: Dual exhaust, Stock 4 speed Manual transmission (M-21 I believe), Stock 327ci/300hp 4bbl V8 motor, 15" Chevy Rally wheels w/radial tires, Factory hardtop, Factory am/fm radio. Vehicle comes from Ohio and has been very well kept & maintained. The previous owner did a lot of work on it before I got it. The entire chassis was rebuilt not too long ago. The stock 327ci motor was PROFESSIONALLY REBUILT approx. 2500 miles ago. The interior received new upholstery on the seats and some other maintenance/service work as needed. The car was since then used on nicer days and it drives great! FACTORY RALLY RED CAR with STANDARD BLACK INTERIOR. Interior is in GOOD condition with only minor general wear here and there. Seats in the front have new covers and look great. Door panels are presentable. Dash pad is nice, as is the console. Convertible top is in decent/good shape with NO tear. Hardtop is VERY GOOD overall (painted same color as the car). Overall a nicely presentable driver quality interior. Under the hood lies the stock 327ci/300hp motor that is bone stock except for the stock style chrome valve covers. Starts at the turn of the key and runs/drives very strong. Good stock power overall and brakes stop WELL. Nice and solid throughout. Very fun to drive and you can hop in and drive it right now, without worrie. I've driven it mostly around town here and there, a few times on the highway and a couple of times to a local cruise night spot near me and it has never let me down. Underside looks pretty dry and solid throughout with GOOD FRAME, SOLID ORIGINAL FLOORS with NO major eye sore. Some minor surface rust from use, but that's about it from what I could see. Some of suspension components have ben replaced as well. Being an old car, it is NOT perfect by any means. Paint shines up pretty good for a fairly presentable driver but if you want a nice car you should repaint it. Normal chips/scratches/small dings from everyday use. Panel fit is ok for a Chevy, with driver's door needing minor hinge adjustment as it rubs a hint on rear quarter. Chrome is presentable for a driver with some pitting as expected on the bumpers, although door handles should be replaced at least. Not working: radio, horn, speedometer (needs new cable) perhaps a bulb or two may need replacing. Side mirror needs replacing. Some small cracks around headlights. OVERALL THIS IS A GREAT 1968 CORVETTE CONVERTIBLE WITH HARDTOP THAT RUNS/DRIVES WELL AND HAS HAD A LOT OF WORK DONE AND IS WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO DO SOME TLC. A NICE AND PRESENTABLE DRIVER THAT WITH SOME WORK COULD BE A REALLY NICE CAR. THIS IS A SHARP LOOKING 1968 CHEVY CORVETTE CONVERTIBLE WITH HARDTOP SHOWING 79K MILES ON THE ODOMETER THAT HAS HAD A LOT OF WORK DONE AND NEW PARTS INSTALLED. Colors from the trim plate. Built date is M01. December 10, 2009. |
