1974 Chevrolet Corvette Widebody Let’s start off by saying WOW! This car will instantly draw a crowd at any car show or Corvette event. Between the rocking Can Am body work, big block power and the bright yellow paint, this car screams for attention. Apparently this Vette is well known among Wide body enthusiasts. It is pictured on the Greenwood Corvettes website on page 1 of the Can Am page. The owner had told us the car was used as the prototype for the Ecklers body kits. We haven’t verified this but it’s a neat story to pass on. If you didn’t know this car was cool enough already it was also pictured in the November 2007 issue of Blender Magazine on page 68 with rapper Lil Mama is sitting it its hood. If you don’t have a shy personality and want something out of the ordinary this is the one for you! The body is obviously been modified with the Ecklers Can Am body kit front and back with Monza Style Headlights, C-R Series 6 taillight Rear Bumper, Wide Flared Fenders, and a bolt on Rear Wing. This Vette was also taken to the next level of cool custom with the hardtop convertible conversion. There is no soft top. Even the hardtop has small scoops molded into the sides of it. The door handles have been shaved with electric door poppers and all weather button hidden in the wheel wells. The bright yellow (Competition Yellow?) paint looks good. There are a couple scratches on the nose that were touched up but overall it’s in decent shape. The finish is smooth and has a nice glossy appearance. The leather seats look to have been recovered and show well. The carpet is in good shape. It has yellow floor mats to match the exterior. The door panels appear to be original. It has a tilt steering wheel with 3-Spoke wheel. There are power windows, the driver’s side goes up and down fine, the passenger window works intermittently. The owner thinks there is an issue with the switch since the window motor is new. There is an aftermarket AM/FM/Cassette Stereo. Powering this beast is a 454 big block. She has a Rochester carb providing fuel and dual exhaust to expelling the fumes. Backing this is an automatic transmission and a 3.73 rear. It has an electric fan to keep her cool. She features power steering and power disc brakes. She rides on Centerline wheels with 235/60/15 BFGoodrich TA Radials up front and massive 295/50/15 BFG’s out back. It’s a good running car and the owner had driven it to us for consignment, not trailered. Overall, this is a wild Corvette with that Dare to be Different styling. Not the type of car for the NCRS crowd, but a super cool custom that will steal the cruise night! You know you want it, just hit the “Buy it Now”. DON’T PASS THIS ONE BY!
