| Nice 1973 4-speed A/C Corvette. Original California car that has not left California and is still wearing the original blue plates issued when the car was new. Frame is in great shape, all fiberglass looks original and car appears to never have been in an accident, all gaps are tight. Car drives nicely, oil pressure is good. Just put new mufflers with new stainless steel tips on the car. The interior was re-done in the original color by the previous owner. The car has the following factory options: Custom Interior C60 - Air conditioning N40 - Power Steering U69 - AM-FM Radio YF5 - California Emission Test Car was originally 952 - Yellow and has been re-painted to its current Red Color Things that need attention: A/C needs to be fixed, all parts are on the car for the A/C system. The tachometer does not work. Car smokes minimally at idle, don't know if it is a rich mixture or if heads or rings may need to be freshened. The paint is in good condition, it has a few minor runs in the back of the car, they could be color sanded out. The car drives nicely and from what I have been able to tell from driving it, it is in good mechanical condition, it starts every time I go to run it and it drives nicely. The clutch is in good condition and the tires have alot of tread life left. I cannot guarantee that the car will drive across country, I feel that it is in good mechanical condition and the previous owner told me of a time that he took the car on a trip to San Diego and back (he lives in Northern Ca.) and the car ran great. I drive it occasionally and I enjoy driving it. The car is 36 years old and is being sold as-is, where-is, with no warraties or guarantees. I have a receipt from the previous owner showing brake work and they have been working fine. The previous owner also stated that the A/C worked, but when I got it home, I noticed the clutch did not work, so I disconnected it by removing the A/C belt. The windows roll up fine and the car seals well, however, I would think that it is not sealing as well as the cars of today as far as wind noise. |
