| 1969 Corvette Convertible. Beautiful LeMans Blue with a white top, Bright blue interior, and factory PO2 (Special) wheels covers. Absolutely gorgeous matching numbers car. All original and have tank sticker to confirm. Always does well at the shows, and can also be a great daily driver! The matching numbers HY code 350/300 horse engine still has the VIN and the engine source code clearly stamped in the block pad and is 100% factory stock. I replaced the factory Rochestor 4-barrel carburetor, but I have to original Rochester carb. Original cast iron exhaust manifolds, original intake manifold, chrome ignition shielding, and original chrome air cleaner assembly. Fires right up and settles into a smooth idle with a deep subdued exhaust. Runs perfectly on premium pump gas and there are no mechanical issues. Pulls hard through the rev range and runs like a pre-emission 10.25:1 compression 350/300 horse should with power right off idle, a wide lusty midrange and a smooth high RPM rush. The hydra-matic transmission shifts perfectly and the 3.08 positraction rearend provides relaxed high speed (low RPM) highway cruising. This car has it all – power steering, brakes and factory AC, and the 4-wheel disc brakes stop with authority. Incredible Bright Blue interior (factory correct 411-code) in very good condition. The center console is in excellent condition. Factory 160 mph speedometer and 7,000 RPM tachometer. Factory gauges for oil pressure, water temperature, and ammeter; also work correctly. Even the factory clock works properly! The factory AM/FM radio is still in place and the dash is excellent with no sun fade on the instruments. Excellent body with no cracks. Excellent paint in the correct factory 976-code LeMans blue with a smooth glossy finish and an incredible shine. Excellent window whiskers and weatherstripping. Excellent glass and the windows operate smoothly. Turnkey ready for best-of-show trophies and fun summer cruising. February 18, 2008. |
