| This Corvette was originally purchased new from Z Frank Chevrolet in Chicago, IL on July 19th, 1978 by a lady to give to her husband for their 25th wedding anniversary. They enjoyed this American classic for 8 years before her husband passed away. At this time it was sold to a member of my family. They Purchased it on November 24th, 1986 with exactly 37,540 miles on it. The car was placed into storage and driven less then 5 miles a year to have regular service work done to it. YES, 5 MILES PER YEAR!! During this most recent summer I learned about this vehicle from a family member and decided to pull it out of storage thinking it would need a good amount of repairs. This was not the case. We had it looked over by a Corvette Mechanic who informed us that the car is 100% original and in great shape. The only thing it was in need of was a couple hoses. Since then I have driven it about 150 miles. It starts up everytime and is a blast to drive. I have the Origianl Owners Manuals, Build sheet and Odometer statement for the car. Along with a number of articles and paper work for the car. It is the 25th Silver Anniversary Edition with the two tone Silver paint with black leather interior. It is equiped with a 350ci/185hp V8 and M20 4 Speed Manual Transmission. It has factory installed A/C, power windows, rear defroster, and tilt wheel. The body of the Corvette is in good condition for it's year and miles....before it was placed into storage for the last 25 years it was driven on the weekends so it is not in Perfect shape. |
