01/26/2014 1972 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible - Ontario Orange - Running Project - Optioned with Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio, Power Steering, Standard Black Interior. This is an original Texas Car with a Non Original Motor. The car has sat for around eight years in its current condition. We have recently blown out the fuel line and gave a basic service. Mechanical: Not original motor, it runs and will idle fine - The fuel line has several places that need repair. The brakes have pedal but have not be road tested due to the fuel line issue. The car will go into gear but again has not been road tested. Looks to be okay. Gauges are all intact. Fuel tank is clean. Very nice rust free frame - one of the best I've seen. Good example of a Texas Corvette. Horn Cap missing. Tires are old and dry rotted but hold air.The Carburetor and intake are the original one to the car Exterior: Nice original GM fiberglass, very nice body lines and door gaps. It retains its original white convertible top but will need replaced as it has tears. Front Bumper is in decent shape, rear chrome bumpers will need re-chromed or replaced. The front grilles are in excellent shape. These items were removed to prep for paint. Items that will be included that have been removed are; Fuel Door, Rear Vent Grilles, Side Vent Grilles, Front Grill, Headlight Bezels, Front and rear bumpers, Side Emblems, Rocker Moldings, Tail Light Lenses, Rear License Plate Frame. No chips or cracks in windshield. Door Rubbers are in good shape.The bird cage is in excellent condition. No separation at the window pillars. Interior: Seats are older leather in usable condition one split in drivers seat bottom (can be repaired), Carpet, Dash, rear bins, all there and in good shape, The panel along side of center console and either side are included with the car. All interior pieces are present with exception to the horn cap. This car came originally with a base motor 350=200hp - Now has a 350 non original motor - Production Numbers for Convertibles in 1972 were 6,508 built of the total production of 27,004 car built. Of these total cars built 17,011 came with Air Conditioning - 4,891 of the Total Production of Corvettes came Color Code 987 Ontario Orange. The body and the frame of this car make it an excellent candidate for completely the restoration.
