| 2) 1969 L68 CORVETTE TRI POWER 427-400 HORSEPOWER. MATCHING NUMBERS. FACTORY AIR. 4 SPEED TRANSMISSION-JUST REBUILT. I HAVE 14 PAGES OF RECEIPTS AND DOCUMENTS FOR ALL WORK DONE. $26.430 DOLLARS SPENT THIS YEAR. PERFECT MATCHING NUMBER CAR TO RESTORE. MECHANICALLY THIS CAR IS PERFECT-THIS CAR IS LOCATED IN UTAH. THE AIR CONDITIONER COMPRESSOR IS NEW, WITH BRACKETS, NOT INSTALLED. August 15, 2010. 1) Here we have a 1969 Chevrolet Corvette, Original numbers matching. 427 Tri Power 400 HP. Chevrolet only produced 2072 Corvette's with the 427 cu in Tri Power Carburation 400 HP. This is a great opportunity to own a very rare true American high performance sports car at a very reasonable price. These 427 powered cars were usually abused and the motors replaced so finding an Original Number Matching example is becoming very hard. This is a highly optioned Corvette. It comes with power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, and tilt & telescopic steering wheel. The motor was rebuilt with approximately 5,000 miles. The heads were redone with new valve springs, lifters, push, rods and roller rockers, New cam with the same lift and duration as the 427 cu in 435 HP engines, All three carbs were rebuilt and new exhaust was installed from manifolds to tail pipes, New brakes, rotors, calipers, New clutch setup was also installed during the restoration. The engine runs strong and sounds great with the bigger cam, the car starts very easy, idles well, power steering & brakes work great, 4 speed transmission shifts as it should, The frame is very solid with no hidden issues. The only negitive for this car, it is not painted the original color. Original color is Riverside Gold with Saddle interior, The current color is obviously red but the interior is the correct color. The interior has been completely restored with new seat covers, carpet and door panels. At some point in its life this car was in an accident and the front end was replaced with a one piece unit, at this time it was painted red. With the one piece front end installed there are some alignment issues with the hood & wiper door. These issues would be easily fix when painted its original color. All the bumpers and badges are new and in excellent condition. In my opinion the paint is a 7 and the interior is a 9.5, I hesitate to give the interior a 10 only because someone installed after market speakers in the rear storage area (they are in a removable box). This car runs great, motor runs cool and everything works great. Air Conditioning is inop and missing some parts. 130,000 miles. July 13, 2008 |
