**** RUNS AND DRIVES LIKE NEW! ****
I LOVE VETTES!!
I have been buying and selling them for over 30 years. My first car sold as a new car salesman for Chevrolet, was the 1978 Pace Car. Been hooked since.
I look everyday for budget priced Corvettes that are great looking and excellent driving examples. I saw this beautiful yellow Vette at the Manheim Auto Auction's special spring exotic and classic sale. I knew I had to buy it. Why? Because of the condition and rarity. Yellow is one of those high impact colors that says 70's collectible. When I saw it had a 4 speed, I knew it was one of only a few with this combination. They made around 1,200 yellow cars in 78'. A small percentage were sticks.
THIS CAR RUNS LIKE A DREAM AND IS AN ABSOLUTE BLAST TO DRIVE.
When you get down behind the tilt and telescopic wheel and look out over the fender humps, you'll know you are in America's Premier Classic sports car.
I drove this Vette for an hour last night and was so impressed by how it ran and drove. It is ready to go. Take it to the cruise this weekend.
Money in the bank. A classic stick, rare color Vette is financialy as safe as anything you could invest in. You can't drive your portfolio to the Dairy Queen cruise. You can be proud to own this investment and have a ball showing it off. Everybody turns their heads when this one drives by.
The panels are very straight. The paint is smooth and still glossy. It does have some original paint, but has been refinished where needed. Very few small marks. The interior is original leather and is in better than average shape.
The miles are actual at only 74,000!
The undercarriage is rock solid. The Goodyear tires have excellent tread.
No, the numbers do not match, BUT here is the story. Something happened to the original motor in 1979. I am not sure if it was a warranty issue or maybe the original blew up. A 1979 factory crate Corvette engine was installed in 1979. It has been with the car for 33 years and absolutely couldn't run any better.
A 1980 tail piece with the wing was added. Looks a lot better than the straight sloping back of the stock 1978's.
All in all, it would be hard to find a more rare, better running classic Corvette under 20 grand. I could go on all night talking about the merits of this one. Take it from a guy who has had more Classic Vettes than most people in this hobby. It truly is a very special car.
