This brawny 1971 Corvette has a lot of power - will be easily updated for a great ride. Exterior Color Bridgehampton -Blue exterior Interior Color Black leather seats. Odometer Reading 37,318 miles. (Storage last eight years - Complete car documentation i.e.. engine rebuild etc., in 1985 at 30,000 miles, mileage now at 37,318 miles)
Amenities include: Original base CJL-code 350cid/270bhp V8 engine 4-speed transmission with Hurst shifter, Posi-traction rear axle, Dual exhaust, Power steering and brakes. Aftermarket AM/FM cassette radio, Standard black vinyl bucket seats interior. Console; clock; full gauges, White convertible top, Original Engine, Hood and an aftermarket big block hood. Tires are older Dunlop P225/70R15 radials mounted on Chevrolet Rally wheels with caps and trim rings, all in fair to good condition.
Mechanical Items include: The engine starts easily and idles smoothly. Transmission and clutch work well and it shifts easily. The brakes need work (possibly new calipers and master cylinder). The steering is smooth, easy and tracks straight down the road. The lights are all in working order, The gauges, speedometer, tach, clock need to be reconnected. This Corvette has been professionally started and a base established for driving. Extensive history documentation available. The original numbers-matching engine has been modified with headers, custom intake manifold and carburetor, chrome valve covers, metal braided hoses and special air cleaner. This Corvette has had a complete mechanical restoration within the last few years. It has been in storage the last few years until the present. Documentation.
Exterior: The exterior physical condition of this vehicle is good, the fiberglass is good with no cracks or breaks around the car. All the body panels except the hood appear to be original and all align nicely. The original hood and cowl are available with the car. The convertible top appears to be newer and in good condition, with one small break. The windshield has a crack in the lower right corner. The car has been repainted and there are nicks and door dings.
Interior: The interior has the black leather seat option. The steering wheel has no cracks and the interior stainless/chrome trim pieces all appear to be original with normal wear. Door and trim panels are good. The seats are good except for a small break in the driver seat corner. Some dust in areas.
Mechanical: The engine starts easily and idles smoothly, but it is noisy due to a manifold gasket leak and could be easily fixed. The transmission and clutch work well and it shifts easily. The steering is smooth, easy and tracks straight down the road. We found that the lights are all in working order. Dust in some areas. The original numbers-matching engine and has been modified with headers, custom intake manifold and carburetor, chrome valve covers, metal braded hoses and special air cleaner.
