Car history:
I purchased this Corvette in 2003 as a project car. I still love it today, but business
is slow and it has to go. In 2007 I took the block into the machine shop and had it
bored .030 over. Then I had the block height decked off to allow only 1-2 thousands
clearance with the bottom of the head when the piston is fully stroked. Corvette
Fever Mag. suggested this be done to allow for the most efficient firing. This
rebuilt engine has less than 5,000 miles on it and included all of the following. A
LUNTAI Cam shaft with.480 lift to a .292/230 degree duration, this creates a great
deal of "chop", a serious cam shaft. We installed New Eagle I-Beam piston rods
and increased them to a 6 " length and topped them off with Wiseco flat top
pistons. We installed New Crane "GOLD" series roller rockers. The heads were
replaced with New BRODIX Aluminum Heads p/n STR-1 Comp. with 2.08/1.60 cc
chambers. The new intake manifold is a "Crosswind AIR GAP", chromed. The carb.
is a Holley 750 cfm secondary vacuum, 4 barrel, Double pumper. The distributor is
a ACCEL HEI, 50,000 volt with vacuum advance. I run a set of 8 m/m ACCEL
spark plug wires. Gas is provided by a Holley Electric Red series fuel pump and
can deliver 67 gph at 5 psi. A pressure gage is mounted on the fuel rail as show in
the pictures. There is a Holley fuel pump Regulator mounted on the pass. side
firewall for adjusting the gas pressure. The transmission is a TH-350, 3 speed
automatic with a Holeshot 2400 stall converter and a B & M Shift kit which
provides a hard hit or snap when it changes gears. The rearend was rebuilt and
installed less than 2,500 miles ago and is from a 1963 corvette. It is a 3.70 to 1
ratio, this provides for leaving your competition at the light. But it's not to much
rearend for the street, at 70 mph it tachs at 3,400 rpm's. Most people that have
riding with me usually comment this car has unreal torgue. The car is alot of fun
and fast for a 350 small block and will turn some heads. But all of the above
makes this a high maintenance vechile It's a street rod, not a good car for your
wife to drive to work everyday. It does not have A/C, you normally can not here
the radio, thats why It;s missing, but I have a JVC High Power Cassette radio I
will gladly give you. I also have New seat belts that I will send you and you can
decided if you wish to install them. Over the years I have had trouble with the
ignition switch, so for the last 5 years I put the key in the steering column, turn it
on, then flip a toggle switch that's mounted on the dash just below the wiper
switch to start it. The Headlights have to be raised and lowered by hand, therefore
I am giving the winning bidder a $350 rebate to have a shop fix them. 90 percent
of the headlight parts are on the car and thats what I am trying to show were you
see the 4 blue hoses. Last week I replaced both brake calipers on the pass. side.
This week I am installing new power window buttons and their pigtails. I am
waiting on a New turn signal switch Harness to come in this week and hope to
install this weekend. The car was painted 4 months ago and we used 2 coats of
polyurethane primer and 3 clear topcoats over the "Torch Red" base, but it's not
perfect, it needs some work around the hood scoop which I have tried to show in
the pictues. The interior needs to have the drivers seat recovered and the door
panels need replacing. The Transmission has a very small leak if overfilled. I took
it to the shop and they said it's not the seal and they would not suggest replacing
it. I was sure the would say replace it and that will be $300, pay on your way out.
Anyway I tried to be Honest about the defects and hope I have not forgotten any.
Thank you for looking and please email with any questions.
