April 3, 2014. 2) 1971 Corvette Stingray Coupe Showroom Condition! 1971 Corvette Stingray Coupe w/ T-tops and pop out rear glass. Automatic Transmission. Completely rebuilt 396 V-8. Color: Metallic Orange. Of course there are not near that many miles on the new motor but he isn't sure exactly how many. Important Features and details: #1 Interior is all original and in great shape! All gauges work except for the clock and all the fiber-optics that run your interior lighting work. #2 Exterior is all orginal except for the tires. Has the original rally wheels. #3 Has a beautiful looking 396 motor...totally show with every new option you can think of. Car originally was built with a 454 but the guy he bought it from put this motor in. #4 Has over $5,000 worth of new stuff he just put on a few months ago including: New Chrome Hooker headers and side pipes. New Holley quick fuel 4bbl carb. New distributor, MSD ignition box, plugs and wires. New front pulley kit. Wide belt. New 3500 Stall Converter put in the transmission. This is made for racing and showing-off. #5 The motor is so clean you could eat off of it! #6 Has T-tops and a pop-out rear window...all three in great shape. Here are the only imperfections to this car: 1. There are 2 little paint bubble spots on over the door handle on the passenger side. 2. There is one crack in the dashboard right by the driver's side speaker location. 3. It has ability for air conditioning but it was not put back in when the new motor was put in. 40,000 miles. October 6, 2008. 1) THIS CAR IS A 1971 STINGRAY WITH MANY UPGRADES AND A MONSTER BIG BLOCK ENGINE. THE BODY IS PERFECT AND THE ORIGINAL COLOR. ALL THE CHROME IS PERFECT. ALL THE LIGHTING IS PERFECT AND FULLY FUNCTIONAL. THE BODY SEAMS AND GAPS WERE PROFESSIONALLY RE-DONE TO SHOW QUALITY AND SO WAS THE METALLIC ORANGE PAINT. THE INTERIOR IS PERFECT EXCEPT FOR A SMALL CRACK IN THE SPEAKER GRILL ON THE DASH. ALL THE GUAGES AND INSTUMENTS WORK PERFECTLY SO DOES THE FIBER OPTICS. WEATHERSTRIPPING IS NEW AND PROFESSIONALLY INSTALLED. CARPETS AND SEATS ARE PERFECT AND SO ARE THE SEAT BELTS. MY ANSWER IS THAT IT RUNS AND DRIVES LIKE A DREAM WITH LOTS OF POWER AND LASER STRAIGHT. THE TOPS ARE FIT AND ONLY LEAK SLIGHTLY WHEN POWER WASHED BUT REMAIN DRY UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS. ALL THE SMALL ITEMS WORK ON THE CAR EXCEPT FOR THE CLOCK. THERE ARE LOTS OF NEW PARTS ALL OVER THE CAR AND THAT MEANS TROUBLE FREE OWNERSHIP. THE CAR HAS AN AFTERMARKET 396 CHEVY ENGINE THAT WAS RECENTLY RE-BUILT WITH ALL NEW PARTS AND ALL NEW ACCESORIES(STARTER,ALTERNATOR,ETC..) THE ENGINE WAS RATED AT 425 HP AND RUNS VERY WELL. IT HAS SOME COOL FEATURES LIKE AN EDELBROCK INTAKE AND HOLLY 750 CARB. IT HAS AN ELECTRONIC HEI DISTRIBUTOR WITH A BUILT IN TACH DRIVE. IT HAS TWIN COOLING FANS AND AN ALLUMINUM RADIATOR SO IT WILL CRUISE ALL DAY AND NO COOLING ISSUES. THE ENGINE IS DRESSED UP A BIT AND ALSO HAS COATED HEADERS AND A COMPLETE DUAL EXHAUST. THE CAR HAS A TURBO 400 TRANS WITH A MILD CONVERTER AND FRESHLY RE-BUILT WITH HEAVY DUTY PARTS. THE ENTIRE CHASIS IS PRISTINE WITH A SOUTHERN RUST FREE FRAME. ALL THE BUSHINGS AND MOUNTS ARE IN GREAT SHAPE AND THE POWER STEERING HAS JUST BEEN GONE THROUGH. THE ENTIRE BRAKING SYSTEM IS FRESH AND SO ARE MANY UNDER CAR PARTS. ALL IN ALL THIS IS A GREAT CAR THAT REQUIRES ONLY A NEW OWNER. SHOW STOPPING GOOD LOOKS WITH ROCK SOLID RELIABILITY IN A GREAT LOW MILEAGE CAR IS HARD TO BEAT. THESE CARS ARE ALLWAYS GOING UP IN VALUE AND ITS GETTING HARDER TO FIND NICE ONES.
