| Car history: |
| Here is what has been done to this great car. The infamous Bair's Corvettes did the trailing arms, parking brake and rebuilt the rear posi. New calipers and outside mirrors from Zip in 2001. The engine is a strong 350 replacement by the prior owner. It was a manual steering car from the factory. Now it's power Steeroids rack and pinion. The suspension is VB&P Performance Plus with front composite leaf spring, mig welded upper and lower control arms, large diameter front and rear sway bars, dual mount rear composite spring, poly bushings, smart struts and Bilstein shocks. The stance is perfect, as are all of the body panel seams, including the L-88 hood. Vacuum systems work well for headlights and wiper door. The car was professionally media blasted and painted the original Elkhart Green with an imbedded stripe in 2005. The carpet was replaced six months ago and a JVC CD receiver with Alpine amp, Bazooka sub and Infiniti component speakers were installed. Tweeters are on the A pillars, mids in doors. The T-tops are "period aftermarket" Saratoga mirrored, with body colored surrounds. I also had the original tops painted. Steering wheel is a Lacarra thick saddle leather with chrome spokes. The engine compartment is dressed out with lots of billet including the alternator bracket, fuel filter (some pics show the prior glass filter), breather, valve covers and air cleaner. Water pump and intake are polished aluminum Edelbrock. Carb is a Holley street avenger 670cfm. Mallory breakerless distributor with 8mm Accel wires. Dynomax Ceramic coated headers lead into Walker chambered pipes. All kept cool by Tom DeWitt's aluminum radiator and 16" electric spal fan. Pulleys are March underdrive. Chrome alternator was new last summer. Flame Thrower II coil and Lokar throttle cable. Stock power windows. Wheels are 17" American Racing Torque Thruster II's with 255/45/17 Sumitomos all around. Nice frame/birdcage. It runs strong and handles on rails. All of which is backed up by complete documentation and records which goes with the car. It was appraised at 50,000.00. 96,000 miles. Colors from the owner. March 30, 2009. |
