| Car history: |
A rare, original, 1972 Stingray "Big Block" coupe. They are only original once... Matching Numbers, original 454 cubic inch engine, original 4 speed manual transmission. One of only 3,913 models produced with the legendary 454 "Big Block" engine. The coupe proudly wears its original Warbonnet Yellow paint applied at the factory. This example has never been hit, dented or repainted. The bonding stripes are clearly visible. Original removable roof panels, slightly faded with original GM black vinyl storage bag. This is the final year of the removable rear window, that is easily stored in a compartment behind the seats. Original AM/FM stereo radio. Original 15 inch steering wheel improves seating and driving comfort and ingress/egress. Anti-theft steering column ignition switch and reverse lockout. Original seat belts, and all original interior. Every component under the hood is factory original equipment. Factory delivered price of $5,533.00. Documentation that accompanies the car is impressive. Original owner from 1972 to 2007. Original New Vehicle Warranty pamphlet and Protect-O-Plate, original Owner's Manual, Emission Control Systems pamphlet, Chevrolet Consumer Information pamphlet. Vehicle registration certificates for 21 years. These certificates indicate the Corvette was driven 69,098 miles between 1972 and 1980. From 1980 to the present, the Corvette was only driven 6,358 miles. During years 1988 through 1991, the Corvette was not tagged. The Corvette was garaged it's entire life. The car was purchased at Ramsey Chevrolet in Bixby, Oklahoma on November 12, 1971. The owner's family told me the Corvette never left the State of Oklahoma. Runs, drives, starts, stops as new. Every component in working order, (except) radio and clock.
THIS Corvette is a perfect candidate for the famed Bloomington Gold "Survivor" certificate awarded every June to special, mostly all original Corvette examples. The factory side exhaust was removed by the original owner and discarded, replaced by dual stainless steel exhaust system. The factory gas tank was replaced by the original owner, and unfortunately, the original tank discarded. Original trim rings included in sale.
We all have seen 'the famous Corvette dealers' offer a Corvette like this one, advertised as "Matching Numbers, All original, 454 Big Block, and they're only original once...." for $50,000 and more. This is your opportunity of a lifetime to purchase such a car - a true, all original, original paint, Big Block 454 Corvette Stingray, for thousands less. Be assured, you can fly in and drive this Corvette home - Oklahoma City is centrally located - fly in and drive it home to either coast. For the less adventurous, investor buyer, I will assist with shipping arrangements worldwide. No trades. Cash via wire transfer to my bank in exchange for clear title. Thank you for your interest. God Bless America, and the Corvette, America's Sports Car! |
