THIS CAR WAS INSPECTED AND APPRAISED IN 1989 BY PROFESSIONAL APPRAISERS
CORVETTES UNLIMITED IN LONG ISLAND NEW YORK AND THEY APPRAISED AND RATED THE:

INTERIOR CONDITION WAS RATED A 10/10.

EXTERIOR CONDITION WAS RATED A 10/10.

MOTOR COMP CONDITION AND DETAIL WAS RATED 10/10.

THE OVERALL CONDITION OF THIS CAR IN THEIR PROFESSIONAL OPINION IS / WAS EXCELLENT.

AND THE FINAL LINE APPRAISEAL INDICATED THAT "IN OUR PROFESSIONAL
OPINION, WE VALUE THIS CAR AT $20,000. [1989]

Up for auction is my 1978 SILVER AND BLACK WITH A RED STRIPE 25th
ANNIVERSARY 1978 INDIANAPOLIS 500 PACE CAR WITH ONLY 2,981 MILES.

This car is in MINT, PRISTINE CONDITION AND I BOUGHT THIS TO ENTER IN CAR
SHOWS AND TO ADVERTISE MY BUSINESS. PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THE DECALS
ON THE WINDOWS. THEY CAN BE EASILY REMOVED.

I left them on so you can see the advertising that was done. I usually entered
between one to eight of my vehicles in car shows and had them transported on a
10 car carrier. All my license plates said the same word [but spelled differently of
course,] "bodyguard".

I have owned this vehicle since 1987 and bought it from the previous original
owner with only 1,500 original documented miles. I have documentation and
receipts and even the appraisal after I bought the car. It was appraised for
$20,000 back in 1989. So you can imagine how much it is worth in its mint and
pristine condition today.

I always customized my vehicles and personalized them and I enjoyed having a
one of a kind ride.

If you know anything about the stock, mass produced Indy 500 Pace Car --then
you can see that I have improved on its looks and its performance while still
retaining its basic integrity.

It has won many shows and impressed many judges. The judges enjoyed seeing
America's only true sports car with a new twist!

The only modifications, and very important ones that were changed were the
HOOKER CHROME HEADER SIDE PIPES AND I CHANGED THE AIR CLEANER SO
THE CAR CAN BREATHE BETTER AND EXHAUST FLOW WITH LESS BACK PRESSURE.

BUT FEAR NOT those of you stock riders-- Know that I have the original exhaust
as well as the original air cleaner and accessories.

As a matter of fact I have all the original wear items such as --original fan belt,
radiator hoses, spark plugs, etc.

I also changed the original tires and rims to more sporty and better riding wheels.
I have the original ones that have about 2,000 original miles on the tires.

In addition to the sports car look and function I had professionally installed 3
gauges which tell the temperature of the transmission, vacuum gauge for the
carburetor and a volt gauge.

I did not believe that a sports car should have idiot lights because when the light
goes on it is too late--your problem has already advanced to a critical condition.
A gauge is more effective when it warns you before your car gets into critical
condition.. This car is in especially mint condition- a show car- one that has never
seen any aggressive driving-or one that has seen much of any driving. It has low
original miles!! [2,981]

The cedar colored garage in the background is where the vehicle is stored. It is a
heated, climate controlled garage where my show vehicles are kept and this is
one of them. The pictures were taken with a DROID. The vehicle was taken out of
the garage to take these pictures and them moved back into the garage.

For the winter months when I did not enter the Pace Car into shows, I would start
it up [including all my vehicles ] about once a month to get all the fluids hot and
drive them around the block to ensure that all my vehicles worked perfectly.

Look at the photo to see the 3 gauges mounted professionally on a custom
chrome bracket that is bolted to the engine compartment cross member and NOT
on the hood. If you do not like the gauges you can easily remove them and for
that matter, you can easily remove the HOOKER HEADER SIDE PIPES, TIRES AND
RIMS AND THE CHROME BETTER BREATHING AIR FILTER and bring the car back
to a stock mass produced vehicle.

Oh Yeah...I also changed the original leather wrapped silver steering wheel &
replaced it with a very attractive and replaceable high-end wooden steering wheel.
[You will get the original in mint condition]

The original 8 track radio was removed and [if you want it you can have it] and
replaced with an easily removeable, but very nice sounding- PIONEER STEREO
WITH SPEAKERS INSTALLED AS A REAR SHELF WHERE YOU CAN ALSO SEE THEM
THROUGH THE REAR WINDOW.

EVERYTHING THAT WAS CHANGED CAN BE EASILY REMOVED--SPEAKERS EASILY
COME OUT AND THE ORIGINAL 8 TRACK CAN BE INSTALLED.

So again, for those of you who want to have the basic, stock, mass produced car,
within an 8 hour day of labor, [because I have the parts], you can bring everything
back to stock condition.

Please note in my photos that all my vehicles are kept in a climate controlled
environment in my 80' x 28' 12 car garage. In there are stored my small
collection of vehicles [see my ebay auctions for future sales. [see the list below]
The future vehicles will be put up for auction on ebay one vehicle at a time.

Before each show the vehicles were professionally detailed. None of my vehicles
are "trailer queens" and I took pride knowing that even though they were delivered
to the show grounds, I drove each and every one of them to my show area.

If you want to know what a stock CORVETTE looks like- there are many available
on the internet for you to see them. I did not take any pictures with the original
glass tops because you can see them on the internet. But, what I left on the car
was the soft cover vinyl convertible looking black T-TOPS which give it a
sinister 'kick ass' look. Plus the original T-TOPS are so mint looking and I did not
want to take them on and off and possibly damage them so I opted to buy those
light weight and easily removeable vinyl T TOPS which are very light, foldable,
easily storable, virtually indestructable and very convenient to install and remove
and take up very little space without being delicate with them.

Any extras you see the the pictures will remain with the vehicle. There is a chrome
fire extinguisher and bracket behind the driver's seat--and you also get a little
TOY CORVETTE PACE CAR and placque, blue glass etched placque by the shift
lever, wood grain trim on the dashboard.

There are many items that come with the vehicle that are too many to list here.
To show you how meticulous I was in caring for the car, I installed a gas cap
rubber protector [ see the picture with my finger pointing to the gas cap ] so that
when I filled up with gas, I would not accidentally scratch the paint. And
throughout all these years, I would never let any attendant or anyone else for that
matter, pump my gas.

Please note that the reflections on the photos are from the stone gravel and the
flash/glare of the sun against the gravel.
