Car history: |
As second owner I am proud to offer this car of which I have owned for over 5 years for sale to the general public. This is truely a 100% original historically correct car. Only 8.3 miles!!! (this is not a mis-print) This is what they would call a true "Survivor" if I was at Bloomington Gold for certification. But since that term isn't available to be used, I will just say that this is a true "Wrapper" car.
A "wrapper" car is a car still in its plastics and all markings from the factory. Never been dealer prepped. It still wears the plastic on the seats, the cardboard in the floorboards, the original window sticker is still affixed. Yellow inspection chaulk markings on the under-carriage. The steering wheel wrap and visor instructions are still in place as well. This car is just like it rolled off the assembly line yesterday. The t-tops still have white inspection writing on the inside too! The orange and black decals that many of these cars wear stating the 62nd Indy race month/date and year are still in the original box. The car still has the original rims and tires. However, I took them off the car for perserving them. The tires and rims presently on the car, that are shown in many of the pictures, will not go with the car. I will put the originals back on before shipping out.
The condition of this car is like new. It even still smells new! This car needs to be preserved as it has been for the last 32 years. To start driving it now would only deface the value of the car. A true collector needs this car. This car should be in a museum for others to enjoy. I've kept this car stored in a cooled and heated garage.
This is the L-48, 185 hp with standard options. AM/FM radio with 8-track, cruise, tilt with telescoping wheel, power locks and windows, and many more,,,,,Everything works on the car with exception of 2 things needing done. The AC needs charged and the ribbon on the power antenna needs replaced. The antenna motor does work.
This car is ready for NCRS and Bloomington Gold judging. It would be a real show stopper!
