| Very low mileage completely restored and documented 1968 Corvette Coupe with the original numbers matching 327/350 L79 engine. This Corvette has been driven just over 47,500 miles since new. The original build sheet and Protect-O-Plate are still with the car. The car has only had 4 owners and there is ownership history for this car back to new. The most previous owner did a full nut and bolt restoration of the car. He completed all the work himself about 8 years ago. In the past eight years the car has been used sparingly, kept indoors always, and received excellent care and maintenance. Exterior: The International Blue exterior paint is in outstanding condition. This car is in its original color as indicated by the trim pad number, 987, and the original build sheet. There are no major scratche, scrape, or crack in the paint. The paint’s finish has a brilliant gloss. The chrome bumpers are in awesome condition as is the stainless and bright work. The wheels are original to this car as indicated by the date codes and are in excellent condition. All of the side glass on this car is original as indicated by the date codes, which is a great indication of no collision damage. The frame and everything else on the car is very solid. There are absolutely no rust issues with the car what so ever. Interior: The Medium Blue interior of the corvette is in superb condition. This car is an original medium blue vinyl car as indicated by the trim pad number, 414, and the original build sheet. The entire interior was freshened when the car was restored. The seats look almost brand new with absolutely no splits, tears, or stains. The carpet is in excellent condition and looks virtually brand new. The door panels appear to be original and in terrific condition. The dash looks awesome, with no splitting or sun damage of any kind. Mechanical: This car is in extraordinary mechanical condition, there are no issue at all with this Corvette. All of the mechanical items on this car has seen very limited use since the car received a full mechanical restoration 8 years ago. The car starts right away every time. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. Everything on this car works as it should. It is very tight on the road and at highway speeds. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car. Overall: Overall the vehicle is in gorgeous condition. Numbers matching is extremely important in Corvette pricing, and as you can see this car very original and correct. December 18, 2009. |
