1968 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible, both tops, 327 - 350 hp numbers matching, 4 speed, Factory A, power windows, power brakes, power steering. Mileage is 75441. I am told that it is original, the title also says mileage is original. Frame off restoration. New paint but it has a few chips from putting it together and on drivers front fender there is a place where the car rolled into the lift no body damage just paint. There are also some cracks in the paint all of which are in the pictures. All the chrome has been plated and the stainless polished. New tires, new brakes, rebuilt engine and the list goes on and on. This car starts runs and drives but still need to be finished. My friend started the restoration a few years back and health and old age stopped him from finishing it. The car needs the interior done, soft top needs restored. The wiring needs work, if you leave the battery hooked up it go dead over night. The power windows have all been redone but the drivers window has power going to it all the time so I unplugged it. All the lights work even has T3 headlights, but the vacuum system still needs work all the vacuum hoses under the hood have been replaced but lights come up only when they want and same goes for the wiper door. The car has not had the front end alignment yet. The engine runs good but I think timing and dwell and carburetor should all be checked. There is a noise coming from the rear area of the car sometimes, mostly when you are pulling out and I don't know what that is (NDLR: Huile speciale pour differentiel a glissement limité manquante). The AC/Heater box has been restored but the compressor has not and it needs condenser and hoses. The tires were new but that was a few years ago but no miles and stored inside. All five wheels are the correct for 1968 with the spare in the tube without tire. This is a rust free car and it is matching number, correct color. There has been a ton of money spent and a ton of labor but it still needs a little more. I was told by one Ebayer that the engine code of HP was a 300HP engine, I looked on line and I found both 300HP and 350HP so I do not know for sure. Here is the engine number and you can decide for your self. 18SA416159 V0328HP. Hi I just looked up the engine number in a NCRS technical manual for 68 & 69, it says that a HP engine code is 350 HP, I would think they would know. I have some of the numbers you wanted but not all, some I could not read. Engine 18SA416159 VO328HP, intake 3919808, left exhaust 3846559A could not read the right one, carburetor 37333, dist. can't see it, diff 1AP32968W, trans 3925660 - CT8 P8K18E. $15,600 and running (reserve met).
