| 68 Corvette Big Block. I bought this vette with the intentions of restoring it, since it was a good solid big block car. The vette has a really solid freme, with no rust issues. The same goes for the birdcage. The body looks to be also solid with a little glass work in the front by the bumper, it also had the rear valance glassed in. When I bought the car it had a 454 in it. I was told it was a 435. Along with the car was a correct block (not original) but correct date and cast number. Correct heads 840"s and the correct intake along with 2 carbs (not sure if they are correct) and correct exhaust manifolds. The car has a T.I. box on the wheel well. Big block radiator, rear sway bar and the 6500 rpm tach, big block hood. The paint is flaking off in chunks, its an original 976 blue with black interior. The rear is not correct, later model. All astro glass is good. The interior is not too bad. Could use a carpet, and a drivers side door panel. Dash is in great shape, seats are not too bad either. I removed the motor and that is as far as I got, just no time. I also removed the engine harness, it was shot. Has correct wheels, with pretty new tires. 66,754 miles. May 17, 2008. |
