| Classic 1972 Corvette Stingray Coupe, matching number car, T-Tops, Drivetrain is automatic, 350 cu.in engine with 360 ft lbs torque, 8.5:1 comp ratio, power steering. Engine smokes a little on startup, and restorer says that replacing the valve guides will eliminate that. Engine does run smoothly and has great acceleration. Car has been completely redone with the exception of the engine (all original-no mods). Vehicle has completely new front end including bushings, bearings, new brake assemblies and pads, stainless exhaust system, new interior carpeting, new battery, new plugs, points, ignition wires and sparkplugs. A/C unit needs to be recharged. Vehicle has been meticulously restored and repainted by Corvette Country of Fayetteville, GA and is in excellent condition. When being restored the car was taken down to the fiberglass before being prepped and repainted. We discovered car had all original factory seams and panels meaning this car has never been hit or in an accident. Restorer said this was the straightest Corvette Stingray he had ever worked on. AM/FM with power antenna. All original Classic in and out and all numbers match! I am 2nd owner and have factory owner's manual. Extra parts included are drain tubes for vents by rear window, oil filter, points, rotor and dist cap, flannel lined premium car cover. The rubber drain tubes go from under the grill behind the rear window out through the rear wheel wells. The existing ones are dry rotted and must be replaced, otherwise water will drip into the rear cargo area if car is washed or rained on. All vacuum doors are operational (headlight doors and wiper bezel). This vehicle is a beauty and will be show ready once engine is repainted and some parts changed out or refinished. FYI-if you don't drive the car and it sits for weeks at a time, some trans fluid may seep past the seals. I believe the car was originally burnt orange, so the trim code will not match the current paint. The original owner had the car repainted light metallic blue. I stayed with that color when I had the car redone because it looks awesome! It is a meticulous paint job and a beautiful ice blue color. This is a show ready paint job. The guy who did the car is a perfectionist. It shows in the quality of his work. Colors from the owner. Built date is K27. 125,904 miles. July 31, 2009. |
