1) Looking for that all original Corvette? This is an ORIGINAL Numbers-Matching 1968 Chevrolet Corvette with only 41,009 miles! She's mostly original from the numbers-matching 327ci, 4spd drivetrain to the rich-looking British Green paint! This Corvette looks and runs like new! This Vette has had very caring owners over the years that kept up on maintenance to keep it looking and operating factory fresh. This car is clean inside, outside and underneath and some restoration work has been done on various areas of the car. It was not a frame-off restoration, mainly just replacement of non-functioning or aged parts. EVERYTHING WORKS! TURN KEY! This 1968 Vette is in great condition for her age and ohhhh how does she run! That iconic 327ci, 300hp small block and 4-speed manual transmission brings back memories! This sports car is clean and in great original-factory condition. Body is in great shape with no damage and good gaps and no major spider web cracking from the paint. The motor runs perfect with that great American muscle car rumble and the engine bay is clean with all the factory pieces intact. The black interior looks like-new with little-to-no wear and all gauges and electrical components are in working condition. This Vette is bare-bones equipped; the only options are power steering, posi rearend, tinted glass, AM/FM Radio and shoulder belts. It is basic manual brakes, manual windows, non-tilt wheel and no ac. The car runs and handles like new. Everything works! Body: The body is all original. No repairs or accidents and has good body gaps. The factory British Green metallic paint is in great, shiny condition. The paint is not perfect but has great depth and is in stable enough condition for some professional detailing to bring the paint close to factory appearance. It does have several chips from being driven and minor paint rash in a couple of locations but not bad. No other issues like the usual cracks or bonding strip problems often found on corvettes. It appears that the lower front valance has been repainted at some point in the past. There may have been other areas that were touched up but the touch-ups are spot on! All of the chrome and stainless are in great shiny condition with no pitting. Bumpers are NOS replacements that were installed in '88. T-tops fit nicely and so does the removable rear window. Both have new weatherstrippings. They are not pictured but come with the car. All the doors and windows operate as do the pop-up headlights and wiper cowling. Interior: Is in Like-New condition with little-to-no wear. The black interior has no rips or tears and the dash is in great condition. The seats were recovered back in the late 90's. All the gauges and electrical systems work! Some of the fiber optics do not work, bulbs burnt out. All the doors and windows operate as they should. All the glass is in excellent condition with no cracks or major chips. All of the weatherstripping was replaced in the late 90's. The previous owner had the original radio and clock rebuilt. Seat belts are aftermarket not original. The original shoulder belts are not installed in the car but will go with it. Drivetrain: The original numbers matching 327ci/300hp (HE) motor is all-original except for the cam, lifters and oil pump which were changed out in the late 80's due to factory issues with premature wear on some lobes. Other than that, it's all original components. Air pump does operate and is the original unit. Alternator is the original unit. The original carburetor was rebuilt a few years ago. The power steering pump, water pump and fuel pump have been changed during the 80's and are NOT original to the car. The original 4-speed Muncie transmission has not been touched but a new clutch assembly was installed in '89. It operates and functions like new. The original posi rearend assembly was completely rebuilt with all new bearings, u-joints, bushings, etc. in '88 along with all-new trailing arm assemblies from Bairs. Undercarriage: Is in excellent condition, no cracks or damage and is very clean! Emergency brake system has been overhauled and works as it should. New factory correct welded mufflers were just installed. Front disc brakes have also been overhauled in the past. Newer Michelin tires are in great condition. Notes: This Corvette is 48 years old and has been driven. It is not a concourse piece but is respectable for a museum. The car is not perfect but it is a true representation of a 1968 Corvette with lots of investment keeping it factory-looking and driving. There are lots of receipts for parts and repairs from all the owners over the years. It does have 2 minor maintenance repairs needed. (1) Passenger side door lock does not lock with the key anymore. (2) The right directional indicator green light lens fell off. Other than that, this Vette Turn Key and ready to be enjoyed! There is no spare tire. Car comes with some receipts, factory assembly manual, GM model information packet, clear Ohio title showing 34,187 ACTUAL miles and 2 sets of keys. Sold for $23,599 on September 4, 2016. $18,900 (RnM) on May 14, 2017. Sold for $17,999 on May 28, 2017.
