| Car history: |
| 1968 Corvette Convertible, Mild 355/4-speed w/matching Hard Top. Good frame. Not original, but not butchered either. This is a great car for the right buyer. I am selling this for a close friend, & I know this car pretty well. It is driveable as-is, but needs some TLC to be right. Chassis was rebuilt 15 years ago, but a couple of the calipers are starting to leak. The heater core isn't hooked-up (don't need it for a summer-only car) Has a 427 hood, (the hood alone is worth a mint) but it is unknown what engine was original. Bought as a project from a guy who rebuilt the chassis but needed to sell before any body work was done. Drive-train is good as-is. I performed minimal body work & painted it about 12-15 years ago using PPG DBC paint in a Cadillac Eldorado pearl-white with a silver tone. Original color is International Blue Poly. I painted a factory hard-top to match at the same time. The body & paint have held-up well over the years, but there are some minor flaws. A previous owner eliminated the pop-up headlight mechanisms & the headlights are now mounted behind the grille. A correct car of this vintage goes for $30K+. This one is being sold for much less. VIN not certain as there was ZZ for the supposed 22. Sold for $15,000 on July 7, 2016. |
