| Car history: |
| This 1969 Corvette has be sitting in storage for about 20 years. The last Connecticut emissions sticker on it is from 1987. I bought the car exactly as it sits now. I have done nothing to it. There were limited numbers of 69 Convertibles with AC. It is an original AC car but the compressor is not there. The motor turns freely but I never attempted to start it. The car will need to be gone through first due to all the time it sat. I did have the most important thing checked by a Corvette specialty center here in CT. The frame is solid and straight. The doors open and shut nicely and are aligned. I was told that it does not have the original motor in it. The original plate on the console says 350/350HP. The body is in very restorable condition. One crack on the top edge of the rear tail, one at the tip of the nose, and a couple on the right front fender. I know the car has a few new parts, new gas tank, a few front end parts etc. Exhaust is cut off mid way under the car. The interior will need work. Mainly seats, rear portion of console and carpet. Door panels are OK and dash is good. Convertible top needs replacing but frame is complete and operational. This is basically a complete '69 4speed convertible with a straight body and good frame that needs restoring. Colors from the trim plate. Built date is F03. October 6, 2009. |
