ABSOLUTELY JAW DROPPING 1972 CORVETTE STINGRAY WITH LS-5 454CI MOTOR PUSHING OVER 435HP THAT HAS BEEN PROFESSIONALLY REBUILT. THIS CAR HAS BEEN RECENTLY RESTORED AND IS ABSOLUTELY TURN-KEY. SUPER SHARP AND BY FAR THE NICEST ONE I'VE HAD IN A LONG TIME! This Corvette has been owned and maintained by a classic car museum in North Carolina. It has recently been restored in the form of bodywork/paint (supposedly over $7k in paintwork according to previous owner). The motor has also been completely taken apart and rebuilt, as well as many other mechanical components. Bumpers have been rechromed, and the list goes on and on. Under the hood lies a period correct 1972 coded LS-5 454ci/365hp motor (Code CPD, casting #3963512)) with Turbo Hydramatic transmission on the floor. A lot of performance work has been performed to the motor: WEIAND aluminum valve covers, EDELBROCK Performer RPM intake manifold, HOLLEY 750cfm double-pumper carburetor w/built-in gauge CHROME alternator, air cleaner, thermostat housing and other small pieces MSD Pro-Billet distributor, MSD Blaster ignition coil, MSD 6A ignition module, ACCEL 300+ 8.8mm plug wires, HYDRAULIC CAMSHAFT, L-88 style hood, Electric fan, AUTOMETER monster tach replacing stock tach (I have the original tach as well), MOROSO deep sump oil pan, PERFORMANCE CYLINDER HEADS, BRAND NEW AMERICAN RACING 18" WHEELS with KUMHO ZR rated tires (235/40 front; 245/40 rear)> Interior is in VERY GOOD condition throughout. Seats are nice with minor wear. Door panels show some rips at the edges and cracking by armrest areas. Carpet, dash and console are GOOD (e-brake cover has small 2" crack). Overall the interior shows well for a nice driver. Mechanically this car is absolutely a BEAST! Starts right up and runs like a raped ape! Gobs and gobs of power coming from the motor, which is pushing over 435hp easily. Brakes stop the car well, although pedal is a little spongy. Steering feels nice and tight. The car sounds absolutely awesome and there isn't a single person on the street that doesn't turn around and do a double-take, yes it's that nice of a car! This being a nearly 40 year old car, it is NOT perfect. Windshield has a crack by the bottom left corner going upwards. Missing radio and spare tire (carrier assembly is all there). Door handles and some weather-stripping worn and could use replacing to make perfect. Not working: wipers (motor out of the car, but I do have it). Lower radiator support has some rust the bottom with some small holes. FRAME ON THIS CAR APPEARS EXCELLENT, AS WELL AS WINDSHIELD POSTS AND OVERALL BIRDCAGE. I'm sure there are other small issues here and there. OVERALL AN ABSOLUTELY JAW-DROPPING 1972 CORVETTE STINGRAY WITH A KILLER PAINTJOB, WORKED LS-5 454CI MOTOR, LOW ORIGINAL MILES OF 43,494 AND AN ABSOLUTELY TO-DIE-FOR STANCE AND EYE APPEAL.
