| 2) Numbers matching 327/350 horse motor (L-79), 4-speed. Dark blue with black vinly interior and white top (needs new canvass for top). everything works on the car. mileage: 82,108. paint is very good. interior condition is very good. undercarriage is solid. chrome is in good shape. Nice tires are road worthy. This '68 Corvette runs and drive great. The 4-speed shifts well. The engine compartment is clean. October 8, 2009. 1) 1968 CORVETTE CONVERTIBLE, NUMBER'S MATCHING L79 350 HP CALIFORNIA CAR. Here's a very clean, low mileage 1968 L79 Corvette Convertible with 2 tops. It's a numbers matching 327/350hp California car complete with the original smog pump that's belted and operating. It was adult owned by the same owner since 1985 (see title depicted below). The body is exceptionally straight with good panel fit. The frame is good and solid as you would expect from a California car. The seat upholstery, door panels, carpets, exterior door handles, trim rings and wheel centers were recently replaced. It starts right up with just a twist of the key and goes down the road straight with smooth shifts from gear to gear. It does NOT leak a drop of fluid. The engine has a steady and quiet idle. It's just been serviced with new filters and fluids. The tires were just balanced and rotated and it recently had a brake job. It has a vibrant and striking appearance that attracts attention wherever it's driven. This is an extra clean car that does not appear to have been altered, modified or excessively hot rodded. It looks like it was owned and operated by a mature and responsible adult. Appears to be very original with the exception of having been painted and having some of it's interior parts renewed in addition to having a newer Corvette radio replacement unit. Known Defects: It has had a recent brake job, but the brakes sometime become spongy if the car sits for a long period. There is no fluid leaking from the calipers. After it's driven again the brakes become very firm and responsive. The paint on the hardtop has picked up some scuffs and nicks from being shuffled around in a mini-storage. The car was painted about 10 years ago, the finish is bright, shiny and very robust, but there are some nicks and chips that have been touched up. Upon close examination of the paint there are some small areas with fine cracks. The windshield and door glasses have some scuffs and pitting consistent with glass that is 41 years old. The convertible top frame is in very good condition, but the soft top is the original 41 year old top and will require replacement. The spare tire and jack/tools are missing. There is damage to the rear portion of the spare tire tub. There's a small crack in the center area of the dash pad. Engine: L79 327/350HP - Stamped: 18S405664 VII24HT. Trim: STD.
