2) Engine and Transmission: As previously stated in the short description this car has had brand new parts replaced. Every external component has been replaced brand new with the receipts and service records included in the sale for the new owner. The engine runs strong, no knocking, no smoking, no pings, no overheating. Just a good solid Chevy 327 engine. Engine and tranny start, run and drive as they should. Shifts into all gears properly. No surprises. Has lots of power and fast pickup. The complete new parts list is above. ALL RECEIPTS WARRANTIES AND SERVICE RECORDS WILL BE INCLUDED IN SALE Paint and Body: The body is in good shape and the paint has lots of shine with no spider cracking or paint peeling. The sad part is the body was not properly prepped for paint and upon very close inspection you can see flaws. There are several pictures that show the flaws up close. Again it shines great and looks great from 5 feet away or greater but when you closely inspect the paint very close you will see many flaws due to improper prep of the surfaceIE very tiny crevices in body. I have included an additional 185 pictures that show it in very close detail. The pictures do it more justice! The car is painted in GM RED with black interior. Body is very straight. The only thing I see that may need attention is the rear passenger lower side that looks like it had some fiberglass work done but again not very good. It looks great from 5-10 feet. The hood and doors open and close as they should excellent and body lines and gaps are even as can be seen in pics. The Convertible top is brand new and opens and closes just fine. The rear trunk lid also opens and closes great. Even though passenger side view mirror glass was not installed at the time of video, it will included in sale. . Also had a brand new antenna installed. Besides what was mentioned before the body is very straight. The chrome and moldings are very straight and in very good shape. Lights and Electrical: It is very rare for any corvette of this age to have almost all of the electronics work but this one is one of those rare candidates!!! Headlights, brake lights, tail lights, turn signals, door ajar light, Front headlights go up and down all work!. Speedometer, RPM Gauge, Oil Pressure Gauge, Alt Meter Gauge, Temp Gauge, Fuel Gauge All Work! The Horn Works! The Only Two Items that do not work and I have not had an opportunity to check why are the Radio which is the original and actually turns on but only makes static noise and the wipers which don't do anything when you try to turn them on. All in all almost everything works! Interior: The car still has the original upholstery from the factory which is in pretty good shape as can be seen in the pics. The only things I see are a slight seem separation in the driver seat and one of the liners that run down the side has worn away but again they look great from far away. Very usable. The dashboard is excellent no cracks or tears and the door panels look great just some slight wear and a tiny crack on the driver side. The interior is 100 per cent complete and in all around great shape. Car is equipped with an aftermarket Grant Oak Steering wheel and brand new corvette floor mats and a brand new convertible top. Glass: All glass is present and in good condition. Both manual windows go up and down just fine. Chassis, Suspension, Brakes: All four brake calipers and hoses have been replaced. The car was equipped with a brand new master cylinder. The car is equipped with power steering which works great. The tires have a good amount of tread on them. The chassis/frame on the car is very clean and does not show any signs of rust. The car spent most of its life in dry California air! Sold for $18,155 on August 1, 2017. 1) I purchased the car about a year ago out of California NO RUST!! and done some work. New gas tank 4 new calipers new brake lines rebuilt carburetor. Which I cannot get to idle properly, needs new top, carpet, and some bodywork, damage to the right rear quarter panel, NO frame damage. All original Astro ventilation glass have not had the time to do the restoration I planned on doing. $11,100 (RnM) on June 22, 2017.
