| For sale is a 1978 Silver Anniversary Corvette coupe w/t-tops. The body has been taken off the frame to give the frame a complete wire brushing and painting. The frame is very solid with no rust holes. All new body bushings were installed in the process along with, TRAILING ARMS WERE REBUILT WITH NEW BEARINGS & BUSHINGS REAR END WAS REBUILT, UPGRADED FROM 3:55 TO A 3:70 350 (L-48) WAS REBUILT WITH A MILD CAM INSTALLED, SOUNDS GREAT! FRONT AND REAR SUSPENSION/BUSHINGS, TIE RODS, CENTER LINK REPLACED NEW REAR MULTI LEAF SPRING, WHICH YOU CAN ADJUST THE HEIGHT YOU WANT NEW BF GOODRICH TIRES WITH 300 MILES ON THEM (may need front end alignment, the rear is fine) ORIGINAL L-48 MOTOR REBUILT W/MILD CAM WITH 300 MILES ON IT BATTERY, ALTERNATOR, STARTER REPLACED NEW CARPET, DOOR PANELS, SEAT COVERS & DRIVERSIDE LOWER SEAT FOAM, THE SEATS ARE AMAZINGLY COMFORTABLE! (THE WIFE GAVE ME THAT LOOK AS I TYPED THIS, BUT SHE KNOWS IT'S TRUE, LOL.) NEW HEADLIGHT VACUUM LINES TRANSMISSION REPLACED WITH TCI REBUILT, BUT THE ORIGINAL 350 COMES WITH IT, I WAS GOING TO HAVE IT REBUILT WHILE OUT BUT NEVER DID. CAR HAS SIDE PIPES, BUT I HAVE A WHOLE WELDED DUAL EXHAUST WITH TURBO MUFFLERS AND CAT THAT I WILL INCLUDE THAT I BOUGHT FROM MID AMERICA 3 YEARS AGO AND USED A FEW TIMES, IT IS MORE QUIET THAN THE SIDE PIPES, BUT HAS A NICE MELLO RUMBLE TO IT. HAS A REPLACED AM/FM RADIO FROM THE SAME ERA WHICH WORKS GREAT, BUT THE LIGHT TO SEE THE CHANNELS IS OUT NEW DOOR HANDLES NEW MOTOR/TRANS MOUNTS U JOINTS REPLACED BALL JOINTS BRAKES ARE STILL GOOD GAS TANK WAS OUT AND CLEANED WITH NEW SENDING UNIT INSTALLED TRANS COOLER HEAVY DUTY RADIATOR THE RUSTED OUT RADIATOR SUPORT WAS REPLACED WITH A NEW ONE AND NEW MOUNTS (THEY ALL ROT OUT ON THE BOTTOM WHERE YOU CAN'T SEE) NEW FAN SHROUD FAN CLUTCH WAS REPLACED REBUILT ORIGINAL STEERING BOX STEERING SETUP WAS REBUILT BRAKE BOOSTER AND MASTER CHANGED A FEW YEARS AGO, BUT LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE THAT'S BEEN CHANGED, HAS 300 MILES ON IT Don't know if I got it all, but there was alot done on this car and it runs great. The original carb is still on the car which runs fine but I would probably get it rebuilt. The tci transmision may need a pan gasket because it has a slow leak, maybe from sitting. I use the car for leisure only and it has never been raced or abused since I had it. The wheels are in good shape but has a few small nicks in them here and there. The body is very clean, the paint is in driver quality shape with it's minor nicks here and there but over all not bad.The car drives great. The car has tilt/telescopic steering column which has very little play in it but not dangerous to drive, just keep in mind that this is a 33 year old car even though alot has been changed, but not everything. When I had the interior out I installed hush mat on the floor, which gives it more of a solid feel, you don't hear the echo of the undercarriage as much while driving. I have replaced the front speakers with new, and have the new rear speakers that I will put in this week. Oh, and the ac unit is complete, but the belt needs to be installed (I have a new one) and the unit needs to be charged, I am uncertain if it works because I had never used it and the cruise control is disabled.
