| Car history: |
There were just 624 L-89 cars built in 1968 with a percentage of that number being convertibles. Ours was built on May 22, 1968 and delivered new on July 10, 1968 by Cobb Chevrolet in Goldsboro, North Carolina to Anthony Chappell of Lexington, North Carolina. Finished in Rally Red (body and hard top) with red vinyl interior and white convertible top. It was ordered not only with the optional hard top, but also the 425/435 horsepower, triple carburetor, aluminum head engine, 4-speed, close ratio transmission, posi-traction rear with 3:70 ratio, power steering, power brakes, special front and rear suspensions, transistor ignition, telescopic steering column, and AM-FM radio. Accompanied by Protect-O-Plate, original owner December 16, 2009. |
