| Car history: |
| This 1968 Chevrolet Corvette race car features Greenwood-style widened bodywork and a red, white, and blue livery in tribute to the 1970s Greenwood Corvettes which won the 1975 SCCA Championship and raced in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The car had already been partially modified for racing when purchased out of California in 2000 by the seller, noted racer Tommy Thompson. After bringing the car to Arizona, the seller commissioned Chris Harrison to rebuild the chassis for vintage A Production and IMSA racing with VARA, HSRW, SVRA, and HSR West. Lance Smith later performed the widebody conversion and applied a new livery inspired by John Greenwoods IMSA GT racer. |
