| For sale is my 1975 Corvette with numbers matching engine/trans. What it needs: new seat covers/foam, and power steering isn't as loose as some other vettes (new pump needed?). It steers easily but not as easily as 2 other Vette's I've driven from this era. Hasn't become better or worse in the 4 years I've had it. Condition: The exterior of the car is in excellent driver/local show quality with only minor blemishes and VERY presentable and shiny paint (no spider web cracks). The rear bumper is being upgraded from the original poly bumper. The new rear bumper will be painted and installed before the sale. The engine is a special option L-82 350 mated to a CLOSE RATIO Muncie M21 4spd trans. There were only 1,057 Corvettes built with this engine/trans combo in 1975. The interior is in great shape only needing new seat foam/seat covers. New brake pads on all 4 wheels and new front calipers...brakes are very firm. Options include: power windows, AC (R-134a converted), 4 wheel power disc brakes, tilt steering column, power steering, dual horns, AM/FM radio, and map light. This Corvette also features factory "custom" interior trim which includes: leather seat trim, wood-grain accents and lower carpet on door panels, wood- grain accents on console, and special cut-pile carpeting (opposed to the more common loop-style carpet). The original cylinder heads were re-done 2,000 miles ago: crack checked, new stainless valves, new seats, and new springs. I upgraded to an Edelbrock aluminum intake but have the original intake that can go with the car. The carb is the original 4 barrel Q-jet that has been rebuilt and runs excellent. The miles are said to be original by the last 2 owners whom combined owned the car for 20 years. Judging by the overall condition/cleanliness of the car, I believe they are original miles. This car was EPA estimated in 1975 at 20mpg highway. I took it on one 400 mile round trip and averaged right at 20mpg. This car is very quick and fun to drive. Enjoy a vintage Corvette and not suffer at the gas pump! I've owned it for 4 years and only drive it on the nicest summer days. I hate to see her go, but I have other projects to fund and it's time to let someone else enjoy this car. This car is only increasing in value every year!
