We are pleased to offer this stunning example of a 1970 four speed LT-1 Corvette! The LT-1s are becoming some of the most desired of the C3 Corvettes. The LT-1 was only available for three years from 1970 to 1972, and the 1970 is the highest horsepower and most desirable of the three years. Changing federal regulations and fuel requirements caused the horsepower to decrease over that time. The LT-1 features an 11:1 high compression solid lifter engine with forged rods and pistons, high performance heads with oversize valves, a 750cfm Holley carburetor, and a Delco transistor ignition.
We just completed a fresh rebuild of this high performance engine to factory specifications. The LT-1 was a rare option with only 1,287 being made in 1970, and it was the rarest of all engine options. This numbers matching car is very original and well documented complete with its Protect-o-Plate, tank sticker, and Bloomington Judging sheets. It is finished in the beautiful Bridgehampton Blue and has its all original blue interior. Even the carpet and seat covers are original. The original AM/FM radio remains in place as well, and this LT-1 has the rarely optioned power windows. We have also installed new correct Firestone Wide Oval white letter bias ply tires on the original date coded steel rally rims.
The car sounds amazing and runs and drives as if new. This is a great opportunity to invest in one of the most desirable and rapidly appreciating third generation Corvettes. Well preserved examples like this one are becoming exceedingly rare, and it is almost like turning the clocks back to 1970. Offered at only $59,900
