Car history:
We bought this car as a hobby and labor of love. This year vette was special and alot of one of kinds (ie. the fuel door had NO emblem, the rear fascia was a two piece, and the first year for both fascias being painted). As we understand the title chain story we are the 3rd owners. A nice size pictoral history of the repairs been made goes with the car (but its not all inclusive). Some manuals also go with the car. This car has been garaged and did not run from the early 1990`s - 2005, not sure before that. We bought in 2005 and its been in a heated garage since. Sitting in these seats you can imagine a newer car smell. Most of the major items were sent to name vendors as seen in the list below. A majority of the nuts and bolts have been replaced with SS or hardened steel bolts, some of the threads were retapped and nuts reamed for ease of re-installation if they could be. It has been an investment and fun car to work on and have. We have put about 50 miles on the crate engine. When we drove it last (18 months ago), before the steering and brakes had been done, it started and drove good but loose. It is a good car but it needs a little more work. It has all the beauty rings and real metal center hubs. What NEW items have been done: 350 crate jasper engine (painted GM orange), ceramic hooker headers, chrome intake, Edelbrock chrome valve covers, Edelbrock chrome crankcase valve, extra Edelbrock fuel filter added by carb with liquid fuel pressure gauge, Holley carb, chrome 100 amp alternator, 30,000 volt coil, high temp spark plug boot booties, K&N air filter on a chrome air cleaner base (with flow thru top) not the solid top, chrome distributor cover, glass front and back, both seat covers and foam (al knoch), dash pad (upper), dash panel lens, carpet all around with sound deadner and heat barrier pad, both inner door panels, door and t-top rubber seals, halo panels, kick panels, A pillars, 1/4 trim panels, inner window felts and outer rubber, three door compartment, steering column with T & T, and new tin can (rebuilt by corvette steering ), new center console and arm rest, kenwood radio and bezel, new radial TA tires and spare tire and lock hardware, new SS brake lines, calipers and pads, shroud extension, shocks and rear mounts, power steering pump and lines and with chrome pulley, steering assist (slave)cylinder, power steering valve, 3 of the 4 seat belt retractors (ssnake-oyl), fuel tank and unit and overflo boot by neck and straps and anti rattle pads, rubber vapor lines from tank, antenna and wire, rocker panels and sill plates, all new 2 1/4 inch exhaust pipe with flowmaster mufflers, all lites bulbs and most switches, shift lever and boot, pumpkin seal, cross member bushings, both strut rods and camber bolts (from VBP), hood pad, wiper box cover, fan clutch with 7 blade fan, front spoiler, added rear sway bar, and more. What we have NOT touched because it wasn`t broken or still needs attention and some parts we are including just because we got them on sale at the time: body paint, fix cracked paint in rear fascia, wiper arms timed, wiper switch reset, steering (slave) cylinder tweaked (has a drip by a fitting),a tranny is in but NOT working (but a remanned TH400 is here from summit racing along with new converter, chrome flywheel cover, neo tranny mount, chrome tranny pan), drivers door closes but not tight, passenger door glass needs adjusted (pinches into new rubber), brakes pedal soft, the A-ARMS & bushings ( bushings are here), trailing arms, coil springs (are here), some other small items. This corvette is being sold AS-IS, no warranty given or implied. Buyer must pick-up and trailer back. As seen from the list, the brake pedal is a little soft and tranny needs work. NADA on-line price is $13000 - $18000 depending on the tranny. Alot of the the frame has been primed and painted. It is NOT a frame off restoration. A few days to tweak, a week to paint and out in time for spring car shows. There is also a new A/C compressor & new hose set, new VIR unit and an orange manual lift (from kwik-lift). They are NOT INCLUDED but are available to buy .
