Car history:
For sale is a 1969 Corvette coupe with numbers matching 350/350. The VIN is on
the tranny case as well. The car is equpped with a posi rear and high gears. I
cannot read the numbers on the differential. The L 46 engine is the only option on
the car. No power brake, steering, A/C. Overall, despite being fairly tired, the car
is in decent shape from a restoration point of view. The moving panels ( T-tops,
hood, doors, headlights ) all have pretty decent alignment in relation to the body.
I am fairly certain the fiberglass is in pretty good shape on this car. I had new
front rotors and mufflers installed 10-11 years ago and that gave me a chance to
walk around under the car for the first time and everything looked to be in good
condition with no significant rust on the frame or the trailing arms. It's been garaged
since then. I have many new interior parts included as well. I have the E-brake
console, door panels T-top panels, carpet and padding, Battery/storage compartment
cover, seats have been re-upholstered and the entire frames were overhauled,
front and rear interior window trim. The shifter console and dash were cleaned
and re-dyed. The gas tank finally rotted through from sitting a couple years ago,
but if not for that, a fresh battery and the car would start, run, and drive. The stock
rally wheels clean up nicely and are in good shape. I bought the car in late '98 and
it was complete at that time. It ran very strongly, and drove pretty well, too. The
entire motor would need to be freshened up of course, but it always had plenty of
power. It still has the stock shifter and linkage. The Mono Leaf has been replaced
with a fiberglass unit. Other than that, and despite being partially dis-assmbled the
car is basically original and complete. This would restore to an ideal driver. I have
too many other projects going and I can't find the money or the time to deal with
this one. So it's time to cut it loose.
