For sale again at $27,992 (Ended) on March 24, 2017. 1) A great driving fully restored 1968 Corvette Convertible ready to drive and enjoy after a very comprehensive total body-off restoration. This Roadster is an original 427 car now fitted with a freshly rebuilt 454 cubic inch Big Block built to factory specs of the 390 horse version to be very driveable and low compression to run properly on todays premium unleaded fuel. Transmission is a Muncie 4 speed also rebuilt and original rear end is fully restored and fitted with 3:90 rear gears for overall excellent performance. A beautiful original body was stripped and refinished in the correct Rally Red to a very high quality in modern base coat-clear coat. Chrome, glass and all exterior trim is excellent, new or restored. Interior was totally redone and presents itself like new. The original dash was fitted with a newer AM-FM stereo radio that works great. The White Convertible top is very good and fits properly. Along with the restoration of the drivetrain this car has also had the following work done: New stainless steel brakes, complete original style aluminzed exhaust system, front suspension and steering rebuilt, new power brake booster, rear trailing arms rebuilt, new U-joints in restored half-shafts, vacuum operated headlamps and wiper door serviced, radiator recored and much much more.
