This 1971 Chevrolet Corvette offers upgraded ZZ4 V8 power, a leather interior,
and a very cool custom two-tone appearance. So if you were looking for a Stingray
of distinction, it's time to take a look at this coupe.

The paint sets an interesting tone for this coupe. If the two-tone looks vaguely
familiar, it's because it resembles the silver and charcoal option available in the
last couple of years of the C3. These Bowling Green cars didn't look like this
Stingray. They didn't have the pointed chrome front bumper, shining two-piece
rear bumper, and flying buttress style that this one showcases. Really, this one
is a special case of bringing together two of the best parts of the C3, the earlier
body style and the later more creative colors combo. So it's undoubtedly going
to get you kudos from Corvette people. And the full execution is far more intricate
than what you got from the factory. Not only is there pinstriping following all
the sporty curves of the profile, but also the flat rear is featured more prominently
thanks to the darker gray insert. And the two-tone also really draws attention
to the addition of the big block hood.

If the special exterior paint was allowed to add one more darker tone, it would
likely be black. So that just gives you even more reason to take out the T-tops
and share the black leather interior with the world. Corvettes are built around
the driver. You have high-back bucket seats and a three-spoke sports steering
wheel on a tilt column. The large speedo and tach are directly in front of you,
and all your essential gauges are to the side at eye level. And don't forget that
another great reason to have a Stingray like this is that this has the removable
rear window. So you can have a convertible-like breeze through the car while
still have the extra rigidity and safety of a coupe.

There's a small block V8 in the engine bay, but this one absolutely earns its
big block hood. That's because this has serious power thanks to the ZZ4 crate
motor. Plus, you have go-fast goodies like aluminum heads, a Holley four-barrel
carburetor, Chevy performance intake, MSD ignition, and long tube headers that
add power while adding an upgraded rumble to the dual exhaust. All this upgraded
power and torque is handled by the strong and smooth TH400 three-speed
automatic transmission. Add in power steering, four-wheel power disc brakes,
and the Corvette's fully-independent sports suspension, and this one reminds
you what a classic C3 is a great driver's car.
