| 1976 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, the last Stingray. The Stingray has 88,600 original miles. During the last 3 months I have replaced all 6 U-joints, put in a new distributor, plugs and plug wires, went all through the brakes, replacing one caliper and brake lines, new radiator, new chrome air filter cleaner, water pump, pan gaskets, intake gaskets, valve cover gaskets, and replaced the rear end oil and grease. The air conditioner has been converted to R134 and works great, as does the heater and defrost. Nice white lettered tires. This car is in overall nice shape. I would drive it anywhere, and have. I do take it to car shows and cruises. It is not a "show" car but it does show well and gets a lot of compliments and attention. I have spent over $2000 in repairs and upgrades to the car in the past 2 months. It has power windows that work great (tinted). This car drives like it did in 1976, maybe a bit better with the new air filter (original style did not allow the car to breathe like it does now). Painted T-tops. All lights work properly and head lights open and shut like they should. Has AM/FM/cassette-stereo that could use an upgrade. This is just a real nice '76 Stingray that needs very little to make it perfect, or just enjoy the car as it is. If you have questions or want more pictures, please call me at 217-972-9419 or email me at steelcurtain19@cebridge.net. I would prefer to keep the car, but I have a C6 and a child headed to college shortly. Title is free and clear of liens, and is in my possession. |
