Car history:
Great original car, a basic survivor. The 1968 Corvette was the first year for the Mako Shark body style, Turbo Hydra-Matic 3-speed automatic transmission, battery moved to behind the drivers seat, dual removable roof panels and more. It has a new radio and front carpeting and other mechanical parts replaced with OEM parts, there has been no customization. Comes with T-Top bags to prevent scratching the T-Tops. I was told by the second owner that the miles are original and that he bought the car from his friend who bought it new in Southern CA. The majoity of its life the car sat in Newport Beach in a car port. The second owner said he won the lottery (just over $17 million) and bought a number of older vettes and some with big blocks and no longer wanted to focus on this car. I bought the car about 5 years ago, and it has been in the garage most of that time, with the exception of taking the car to the golf course and up to Hot August Nights now and again. The car starts, drives and runs OK. The car was painted a couple of years before I got it, and the same color as it was originally. The paint is good but not show quality and while a good replication of the original, but not excellent. Has new tires, seats are good with one blemish on the drivers side, no probelms with the rest of the interior. New battery and other minor parts. A new complete car seal kit comes with the sale, something I wanted to do but never got to. I was recently laid-off and just got a new job, but out of state. This and another Corvette of mine will not be making the trip. Great opportunity for the next owner. No reserve auction with a low starting bid. I will either drive or trailer to any location for free in the SF Bay Area, otherwise the pick up or tranportation is the winning bidders responsibility. The offer for free delivery in the Bay Area is valid only thru July 27th. In any case, I won't leave for delivery or release the car until the winning bid is paid with verifiable funds. Sorry, been deceived and ripped off in the past. The car has original black plates and is on PNO (planed non-operation) as I have not had it out of the garage for a couple of years, except for recently to make sure it was ready for sale. I have the title in my posession, it is my name, it's clear, no lien, no salvage, no other vehicle history marks whatsoever.
